I would say that Kallis got a good ball, and one of the Pakistani openers, the left handed one, that ball was a lot better than the dismissal looked. The rest were basically poor or very poor shots. Akmal and, well a lot of South Africans were very irresponsible.

Kaneria bowled about as well as i have ever seen him bowl;)

You missed off dubious selections ;)

Sami bowled okay in answer to your earlier question.

Is it a minefield, good bowling or crap batting?

Lack of mental strength on the part of the Pakistanis.

Regarding Hussey not walking - apparantly, he told Anderson in the middle that he did nick it. why didnt Jimmy just turn around and tell the umpire?

LOL.

That tactic doesn't seem to work for footballers.

I once told the wicket keeper i'd nicked it after he's dropped the ball. What I didn't know was that he was a phsycopath and threatened to 'make me eat my bat' after the game if I scored any more runs:eek:

I noticed the Danish guy has been picked in Englands world cup preliminry squad.

Much though i dislike the one day game i have two thoughts on today's. Why is Nixon ahead of Dalrymple in the batting order and Hodge can really catch

I know, I know, it was hardly a realistic suggestion.

IMHO, appealing when the bowler knows its not out, and not walking are as much cheating as chucking, dancing on the wicket, claiming catches on the bouce and taking drugs....

So there is only one player in international cricket who doesn't cheat?

And he's Australian!?!?!?!

S'true. I suspect he will be pressured to stop it soon!

oz_da II 20-01-2007 01:32 AM

That won't happen.

I'm sure there was plenty of pressure on Gilly a couple of years ago when he walked but replays showed he hit the ground and not the ball. He still continues to walk though.

Good last wicket partnership here.

Inzi - the most under-rated batsman in the modern game

Adlerhorst 20-01-2007 11:48 AM

Forgot it was on - will go and take a look - think i might work from home today

Pakistan robbed of 5 runs (for the 2nd time in 5 months)

bunghole 20-01-2007 11:56 AM

Hussey didn't admit to Anderson that he'd hit it.

He told Anderson that he doesn't walk, unless the umpire gives him out. :D

kolinkins 20-01-2007 11:56 AM

All out

Fair enough - Jimmy said Hussey told him it he nicked it.
