Mostly spam but we also lost 100k of posts in the late 90s due to a combination of technical issues (perl file locking) and deleting to save money.

You did what you needed to do at the time, with the best of intentions. I don't think it'll cause a buffer overrun come the final shutdown. So take heart from from knowing that because of your stewardship, some of the finest bilge and drivall has a proper home on the internet rather than being washed away in a deluge of porn sites and dodgy blogs.
I for one salute your efforts and can only stand in awe at the way command respect and impose order on this potentially unruly place with such brevity of post. We will all forgive you the odd minor hiccup.

Greater regret than this Dave?.....

Palace were relegated on goal difference in 1992-93 at the end of the first season of the Premier League, after Oldham Athletic's 4-3 victory over Southampton, with Palace's 49 points from 42 games the joint-highest total of any club ever to have been relegated from the top flight of English football.
