Whet my appetite for Curb now - we haven't watched it for a while. Maybe we can watch it whilst listening to JET and enjoying a nice bottle of Shiraz

Me too, I was there from the start, putting the word out too, brother!

My supposedly highly intelligent bro saw the first episode on my recommendation and said Larry David was just a boring old git and it was rubbish.

A few months back, having watched the first 3 series, he came to his senses and sent an e-mail entitled "Curb Your Enthusiasm Rules!".

it's a fantastic show, and captures the strangeness of living in LA pretty well. How could you not love a show where a newspaper obituary accidentally reads 'beloved c--t' instead of 'beloved aunt'?

I'd say it was much more about highlighting the ridiculous and frustrating behaviour of normal people in every day life that has become the norm and we don't realise how funny it is until it's seen through Larry's eyes. Very clever, if you ask me and it's made more real my the ad-lib conversations and more enjoyable by the lack of canned laughter. Instead, we are rewarded with great reaction shots of LD, which are brilliant.

I've never seen Seinfeld, so watched it on seeing an advert clip on Big Breakfast (I think) from the first episode. It was the bit where he had to walk past Richard Lewis' moody girlfried at the cinema!

Best bit from last night was when he was playing poker with his new work friends from HBO and called one them the C word.
I know exactly what you mean. When I first tried to first describe to a mate (who now loves it), all I could come with was much along the same lines: "Erm, it's about this middle-aged bloke and things go wrong for him." I was as succesful as Larry trying to sell cars!

Not very impressed by this, I soon shut up and let series one and two do the selling for me!

Originally I caught snippets on my usual late night viewaround to find the dirtiest lass on Babestation and couldn't see much in it. However, I saw the DVD on Ebay for next to nothing and bought it for my boy as he had seen it round a mates. Now, a few months later, we own 3 series on DVD and are in the process of seeing them through.

It's legendary and the funniest US comedy ever IMO!!

It is funny IMO. Sometimes a bit hit and miss but Larry David is class. He taught Ricky Gervias everthing he knows.

I've seen all 5 seasons, genius. The Korean and the dog I rewatched recently, that was a classic, as was the previous episode with the edible panties.
