I guess that if missing goals is the manager’s fault then Guardiola must be really shit because City miss a ton all the time.

XG table shows we should be on 34 points and top half (we have the worst actual points to XG in the league).

Roy has to take the blame for this. I have no doubt we’ll stay up - but it’s very very poor that we’re even in the dogfight given the players we’ve got and the way we’ve been playing.
Roy isn't to blame for Sakho missing two complete sitters with his head, Roy isn't to blame for Jimmy missing two complete sitters with his feet. Roy isn't to blame for Speroni dropping a clanger at Anfield. Roy isn't to blame for Benteke missing a number of good chances. Roy isn't to blame for Wickham and Kouyate both missing huge chances against Cardiff. Roy isn't to blame for Wilf wasting a one on one against Watford. Roy isn't to blame for Sakho needlessly elbowing a Bournemouth player at a free kick.

Hmmmm. And Pardew wasn’t to blame for the debacle at Swansea? Or immediately conceding in the cup final?

It’s the managers job to get the team performing. And that includes taking chances and not making defensive errors.
