We should be and it is so so frustrating to watch.

Ward at Watford
Sakho against Newcastle
Townsend at Man United
Luka at Everton
Sakho at Southampton
McArthur against Watford
McArthur today against West Ham

These aren't just good chances we are missing that are costing us serious points - but absolutely gilt-edged chances. The exact same story last season and it is so irritating. We are a damn good side, we play some of the best build up play in Europe at times but can't finish for toffee... except at the Etihad.

That's not including games like Cardiff and Saints at home where we missed a catalogue of good chances but created nothing so blatant as the ones above.

Anyone who thinks the manager can do nothing about players missing easy chances doesn’t know anything about football.

Blame the manager - who hasn’t had a forward for most of the season - for the fact the set up has been good but we have finished our chances?

The anti-Hodgson crowdon here are tiresome.
The sitters have been missed by players across the team - defenders, midfielders and forwards with decent scoring records. If you think Roy can’t dog anything about finishing or improve it, then you enjoy the blissful ignorance.

30+ chances against Burnley, Cardiff and Grimsby. 23 chances today. 4 goals, of which one was a worldly, two were lucky. Is it purely luck? No.

it's the club's fault for leaving him without a proper striker till February 1st

Wickham, Benteke do not count - both were injured for HALF A SEASON and one of them was woefully out of form anyway.

The club left Roy with so little.

Does the lack of striker account for the sitters missed by McArthur, Ward, sakho, townsend, Luka, PVA, Zaha, Kayoute, Tomkins and Meyer?

Given an ordinary level of finishing we could easily be 7th. It’s unbelievable how many absolute sitters we have missed. The disease is contagious, 2 games in and bats is already infected.

Dropping points and struggling are what we do. We have done for the last decade or so. We are the best we've ever been.

Ffs, Its just nice to watch some decent football for a change.

YES - absolutely it does. If we had a striker the players trusted and was capable, we wouldn't be relying on these players getting into goal scoring positions.

If PVA keeps buggering around, you could make a case for playing Ward at left back for a few games. PVA's form has been atrocious all season and well below last season's standard. He just looks far too casual - our weak link.

Sorry which defenders, midfielders and forwards with a decent scoring record are you referring too? Are you suggesting Hodgson is making them worse finishers?

The very fact that we are relying on midfielders and defenders who have had criticial chances highlights the fact that we haven’t had a ******* striker. It’s not rocket science.

Yawn. So if another manager was in charge McArthur would have scored? Sakho has missed sitters this season too as have others, but if Mr X was the gaffer this wouldn't have happened then?
