There are new emergency rules in place with regards to vaccinations.

If a horse has not been vaccinated in the last 6 months it will not be able to run.

So there is going to be some madness with declarations over the next few days.

Cards for tomorrow will not be released until 13:30 as the BHA have to complete the necessary checks.

Bookmakers really are a complete joke who just run on their own terms. Now they void the bets for the Betfair Hurdle... When it is going ahead again and the front of the market will be 3-4/1. Yet they were happy to keep them open with the possibility of claiming they were losing bets.

Fantastic card at Ascot. Shame I already had plans obviously wouldve gone over.

Some interesting runners out this week for me, with Cheltenham/Grand National implications

Sky Pirate - 3m Sandown on Fri or 2m7f at Ascot Sat. Presume this will go for the Kim Muir though could go for the Ultima

Posh Trish - A win for this giving weight away at Sandown means the 12s on offer for Cheltenham in the Mares would look nice

Carlos du Fruitier - on its day a good horse, lining up in the Artillery Cup

Angels Breath - Sandown

Danny Kirwan and Santini @ Ascot

The Swinley Chase looks great as do the Ascot Chase

Some value to be had still in the JLT? Open market and a relatively poor race

Defi du seuil and Lostintranslation you would imagine will line up

In behind, La Bague Au Roi (straight to Aintree), Topofthegame, Kalashnikov and Le Richebourg almost all certainly dont line up, nor Does Dynamite dollars (injured) or Delta Work, leaving the rest

With this in mind, I see Spiritofthegames has come in from 66s to 33s and Real Steel 25s into 20s over the last few days as people have spotted the current market prices look generous for those who will likely run.

I would be tempted to side with Real Steel, who I feel would have been 2 from 2 if not falling versus Paloma Blue and would therefore be single figures.

I think DDS could be very solid here. Champagne Classic will have a chance wherever he goes.
