I think he'd make a very useful acquisition for us. Raw, pacey, offers us something else in attack and has potential to develop. Probably would be gettable at a reasonable price too.

I agree Abraham could well be a good loan. He looked raw and lost at Swansea but he also had glimpses of real talent. Getting someone to replace RLC is going to be the hardest thing this window, add to that a decent striker and you can see Dougie needs to be on overtime pay.

Not so much overtime pay as just earning his money I'd say. Possibly even making up for doing no hours in January.

He would have done this year, even by playing just one half of football. I like Wickham but we really need to be confident that he will be available for selection.

I think we would have got more out of Benteke this season if Wickham had been on the bench.

I still think he would improve our squad and striking options, yes. So I'd be happy to get him. I wouldn't see him as a likely starter though.
