Went to see Marillion at Lille on Friday night. Unbelievably the first time since Fish was in the band, despite buying all the CD's with H as lead singer! Yes I know!

Good, but still not convinced by the new material. They messed up El Dorado mid song and went off stage to regroup! They then did Ocean Cloud before finishing with Eldordo from the start. Possibly not one of their better nights. The set list was better in Paris I believe. The venue was packed. Quite an atmosphere!

We're all getting old. Saw all of them first time around.
Is it still Gong without Allen?
Is Hillage playing?

Far more entertaining than the band currently masquerading as Yes:

Enjoyed watching both versions, but ARW at Hammersmith last month was great stuff

It was. I was down the front on Wakeman's side - force of habit, as it was the same side as Squire. ARW, for me, just have more of the spirit of Yes. Howe's mob have so much less energy, and that f*cking awful keyboard player.

Lee Pomeroy is doing a sterling job on bass with ARW. And I've grown to appreciate Rabin a bit more, who I was never a fan of. That band, with Bruford drumming, would be superb.

I saw him at Portsmouth last Monday and he was on top form

Loved hearing 'Inside and out' live, for the first time; got a good response, even though we've known the song for years, just never heard it live before.

Saw them at Br*ghton dome in March; really enjoyed it. I was a bit apprehensive about Lee Pomeroy (or anyone) playing The Fish, but it was good. Seen LP now with Steve Hackett and It Bites (I think, in Kingston).

Hackett & co were spellbinding tonight. Those old Genesis songs are timeless. The whole crowd singing every word of The Musical Box was extraordinary

There's an amazing internet station that I listen to on the TuneIn Radio app most days called Stellar Attraction. Loads of prog type stuff. Check it out!

Try and see a Canadian band called The Musical Box. They tour the UK and N. EU every now and then.
Easily the best Gabriel era Genesis tribute band.

Saw them at Hammersmith Apollo doing the 'Lamb' tour a few years back and they were very good. They are touring the UK this Autumn with the 'Black Tour' (SEBTP era).
