A quieter day today, it seems. Probably around 400 still left from the original allocation and then we should have the extra lot. Confident of being able to buy some guest tickets on Friday.

I don't think we have as many members (as against season ticket holders) as people think.

You may be right but for this match there's not really any difference between being a ST holder and a member. All ST holders and members can buy from 10am tomorrow.

On BBC they just said that Brighton had given WBA the money for a pint at half time for all seaweed that have attended tonight. Okay that isn't many but it is a nice gesture. Would be good if our club did that at Donny.

I think (or hope) he meant to save the seat for another fan to benefit.

Depends how big they are. If they are 2 (but nearly 3) then they are not tiny babies in arms and can be wriggly! Having the extra seat is a godsend from a space point of view, as you are less likely to infringe on the person next to you's space. Also, if they are hating it, they can just sit in their own chair and fidget to their hearts content

He’s three in March so not tiny. and I will try and hold him for most of the match. In an ideal world I would get front row seats, or I might just stand with him at side and not even use seats. We shall see. Hard to say as not been Doncaster ground before. And never took him before.

Is it his first match?

I took my daughter when she was literally just two. The key is to bring lots of 'stuff' to keep them entertained. Books, drawing books, stickers, snacks etc. My daughter is just 4 now and comes with me all the time but doesn't sit still. Against Spurs at home I bought us tickets by the tunnel at Selhurst and sat her on the wall (holding her obviously) where she could see the whole game and sat there happily for most the first half. The stewards weren't keen on this but I reassured them she was safe so let it go.

Personally I don't think you should take under 5s to away games. I have 4 year old. No way would I do that. At home or trip to Wembley yes but it's Donny away.

Itís normal at most Palace away matches for everyone to stand, whether you want to or not unfortunately for some.

So we didnít take our son away until he was tall enough to see at least some of the pitch whilst standing on his seat. Heís a teenager now and enjoys the atmosphere and nuttiness of the away matches, but itís not great for v young kids if they canít see past the adult in front.

At least the Donny tickets are so cheap that youíre not risking much money if he doesnít enjoy it. Although it would be a shame to start with a poor experience, so I hope you get front row.

In fairness, his location says Sheffield so one would assume he doesn't get the chance to go to Selhurst or Wembley on a regular basis. This might be first chance to take his son to a game which is relatively local.
