I’d also like to offer a round of applause to the Racing Post who were writing off Ballydoyle as not quite having the firepower anymore and how nice it was to see British horses winning big races etc.
Then yesterday happens and the usual suspects go back into their shell. Ten Sovereigns will win any race it is put in as a 3yo. I’d take whatever odds available for the Commonwealth Cup. He’s sent over his 3 colts that aren’t even his best for the Royal Lodge and they’ve finished 1-2-3. It’s early, but between the Australia and No Nay Nevers, I think Coolmore may have long term stallion prospects covering middle/long distance and sprints. The Australia’s have the same temperament as their Dad. Laid back and need work, they’re improving massively for their third run. Look at Sydney Opera House and Western Australia. Next year, the 3yo division is going to be excellent with the Kingman colts coming through. The bloodstock world excites me at the moment, especially with the Godolphin/Darley and Coolmore divide coming down. It’s vital for the industry to produce some big time sires with Galileo not having long left. I seriously hope Caravaggio passes on the Scat Daddy talent as well.

One to put in your trackers. Jalaad made his debut at Lingfield today and came 2nd. The jockey left him so far behind but he finished like a rocket. If the jockey puts him in any position, he wins the race. Potentially looks a semi decent horse.

Hoping Battash and Enable do the job this weekend, can't believe how poor Battash was on her last run!

Nelson is the pacemaker, I’m going to have to go back and look at stats of front runners as Longchamp has caused chaos in the past.
