BBS Finances and Subscription Service - Please Read.
We have a decent balance in the BBS account, thanks to our regular contributors, but since the purchase of the new Server and the VBulletin upgrade, we are now spending quite a bit more each month than we collect. In the past, we have been able to catch up by launching appeals - or funding enterprises - but we probably need to do a bit more now to ensure the continued success of the BBS.

I would guess that most of us do not want to see Advertising on the BBS, and for Registered Users the BBS should remain Advertisement-free (although Guests may see the odd Advert when they visit us).

I also believe that the majority of us want to see the BBS remain as a free service, with contributions entirely voluntary. I don't see this suggestion as creating different classes of members. Instead, it is a recognition of the huge help that a few members provide - and giving them a few minor extras ... such as a larger PM capacity and perhaps bigger avatars etc.

Obviously these additional benefits will be available to existing helpers - so if you are a regular contributor and would like to be included, please send a PM to Dave or to me and it will be sorted out as and when the scheme gets going.

... and of course new contributions are very welcome, so please do consider making a regular contribution to the BBS, Regular monthly payments are preferred, because this allows us to budget more easily as we know roughly how much we will be receiving each month - but one-off payments are also welcome.

£3 is the suggested, regular, payment - but we do have a number of Members who contribute more than this - so please do not be dissuaded from making a larger payment if you can afford it (and if you feel you want to help out).
