They hopefully will extend and the numbers will get better - i think its more down to available cash at a crap time of year than football quality tbh.
The smudges have renewed and doing it online was really friendly If we get a result Tuesday night that would drum up fresh enthusiasm Im sure

Great time to be a Palace fan.
Unfortunately at the moment I am earning less money than I was when I last had to buy and this cup run is costing me a fortune! I'd like it to be extended but I guess we will have to see.

A bit surprised at the moment to see people saying they are not renewing because of our current style of football. I can understand if people can't afford it. I can honestly only remember in short periods over the last 12 years under Bruce and Dowie that we have actually played good football at home. This year has been a rebuilding year for the club and Dougie has played it safe from the back. When we get to 50pts I think you will see us be more adventurous at home. Hardly a bad season after what we have been through. Yes we all would like to see more attacking football, but give it a chance. |

Not surprised at all, these are times when even if people have enough money to but a ST, they still have to justify spending the money, and I'm afraid the football isn't exciting. I'll be renewing our 3 this week because it's what I've done for 30 years or so, I can see the bigger picture with what's happening at the club at the moment and am prepared to follow it through, others won't but the idea of getting new ST holders in to the club is just not going to happen if the entertainment isn't there. Sadly I think to match last seasons numbers will be the best that can be hoped for in this current climate. I've taken on a new Credit Card and will pay ours off over 12 months interest free, a far better option than what the club are offering, if you scan the Brighton forums you will see many who don't even miss the £40 or so a month under the 12 month terms that the club offered them, I know quite a few that are on that scheme, if they don't offer the same terms this season many of those will struggle to renew.

Apart from a couple of years spent abroad, I've had a ST every year since the holmesdale opened. This season has far and away been the most enjoyable in all that time for me. Yes we play defensively, but there's a bigger picture here- the change in attitude around the club instilled by Dougie and the owners; I get a massive buzz out of every game. If people are only interested in the style of football then I hear the second half of man city - spurs was worth watching on Sky yesterday.

I'm worried I won't be able to afford to get hold of 2 season tickets
Lost my job a couple of months back, finding it near on impossible to get anyone to give me a chance, and even if I manage to find work it's going to be near on impossible to cough up all the money up front, the installments saved me last time round but I probably won't have that luxury again unless I find work real soon because it'll probably be too late. It just irritates me when people say oh we aren't renewing because the football is boring. I don't go to Palace purely for what they can offer me, Crystal Palace are my team, my boyhood club. I go to support them vocally for 90 mins, when I can, because they are MY team. I just hope some of these people with their negative attitudes towards buying season tickets because of negative football remember those who really really wish they could afford to go but can't. If you're a supporter and can afford it get your arse down to Selhurst and cheer the boys on! Don't look at it in a what can it offer me way, look at it with the mindset of you're doing your club the service of actually supporting them by putting your money where your mouth is. We aren't Chelsea or Man Utd, we're a small team from Croydon, community based, so if you're looking at it about entertainment value you're probably supporting the wrong team. |

Couldn't say it any better myself. I'm still hopeful of renewing (and moving to the Whitehorse to take advantage of a freebie for Hannah), but with redundancy looming I can't commit to any frivolous spending till I get a new job. If that means I miss the cheapest deals then I'll have to put up with that - I'd rather pay a bit more & have a job than not get one due to unemployment!

I’ll be renewing ours later in the week …. but the issue I raised on the thread when the prices were announced still stands (which I and everyone else making similar points were criticised for). In the Lower Holmesdale prices are going up by around 19% in one hit at a time when people are losing jobs, inflation has been running at about 5% but income is at best static for most.
I know that our prices are low compared with Championship clubs and I know that it is the first rise of any note since 2005/06, and I know the deals of free children’s STs are the way forward. The trouble is that it doesn’t alter what people can afford to pay and times are hard. |

I'll be renewing mine this week, £400 to watch your team at home for the season is value.
I'd rather lose sky sports and have a season ticket.

I've gone the other way and bought a season ticket for the first time since 2005. I do think the style of play has been negative this season, but I also think that's understandable as we try to drag ourselves out of the mess we were in.
However, I don't think we can carry on playing this way in the longer term without driving people away. At some point we need to start giving it a go with something more expansive. Ideally I'd like to see us reach safety early enough to experiment a bit over the last month or so of the season. We do have some good attacking players, so it would be good to give them a bit of freedom in March / April and find out whether we can win and entertain at the same time. |

With a 40% drop in my turnover last year, it's looking unlikely that i'll be renewing my 2 STs
Here's hoping for a nice big commission in the next few weeks!

I am not renewing one of my three tickets for the first time since 1996. Feel really disloyal about it but when I realise that all three of my tickets will only have been used a maximum of 10 times this season it really does not seem worthwile. Even I will have missed a good 6-8 games by season end through holidays and just not being arsed to go...

Despite us having the best owners, manager, players and fans in the world, the football can be boring, there are few goals and little excitment, so I can understand why people are reluctant to take up the season ticket option. The cup run is a bonus, bit if it all goes tits up tomorrow night it'll count for very little and we'll be a low to middle Championship team. Now I've got the grumpy old man bit out of the way, I'm happy to announce that I've renewed already.

Moving the away fans was a big mistake IMO, by all accounts it has made the family stand a more intimidating place to sit for it's regulars, and has left a lot of the holmesdale block A + B bored without the banter from the away fans, there was a noticeable difference after they were moved in the boredom factor.
