Along similar lines (and you will have to take into account I’m driving on the right) people who are turning left (right in the UK) do a bit of a movement to their right to make the turn.

Anyone would think they were driving an articulated lorry, not a Mini!

Until this morning I’ve managed to avoid the royal coverage. My god what utter drivel. You’d never think you could get so many people talking so much shite for 4 days in a row. They’re now saying they feel like a community member of Balmoral has been lost.
Back to Netflix for me.

People who stick their arm out for a bus to stop for them a million miles away from the next stop, or attempt to keep it waiting with various bits of semaphore whilst they break out into an amble (esp. in traffic-intensive London)
You're either in the appropriate place ready to board immediately or you're not.

(I hate you Butler, etc, etc)

The Polish woman who won the U.S open the other day. Just a couple of minutes after she won, instead of walking around and milking the applause of the adoring crowd, she sat down and started texting and reading her phone. The cameras stayed on her for five minutes whilst, instead of consoling her opponent or getting the crowd going on a Sweet Caroline or a knees up, she sat there oblivious to the world, just checking her instagram and her BBS account. Also, she wore a baseball cap that Tone would have loved, which she never once removed from her head. Obviously a nice little earner from the sponsers.

I feel your pain, people eating smelly food at work full stop. This one guy at work it is always curry/fish/spag Bol. I make known my dislike of it and hint to use the tea room but no. He insists on eating at his desk. I really need to get my hands on some durian fruit.

On the same subject, I'm sure I've said this earlier in the thread but people who eat stinky food on trains.

For God's sake not everyone enjoys your taste in food and these days you can't even open the window!

greybot 14-09-2022 12:32 AM

Whilst on the train the other day a girl in front of me took out a plastic food container from her rucksack and removed the lid. The smell of her homemade curry was so pungent, had a match been lit at the time, the whole carriage would have gone up in flames.

I can almost still taste that unwelcome nasal bomb again whilst typing this. :grrr:

This was totally separate from the regular tip, where you are expected to leave 20%, so that you pick up the slack for the boss who pays the staff below minimum wage.

My ex wife used to work for them. It was a great company and she was so proud to work there. But over the years they started making “economy drives” that pissed off staff in making things difficult. By the time she left she actively hated her work. Now it’s a shadow of its former self with staff with the same attitude as American Airlines. They’re simply do their job.

The number of cars on 'C' roads in London doubled between 2009 and 2019 - it's called the Waze effect, and it seems to be continuing. We need to close off more back streets, they should be for pedestrians and cyclists.

Davies Group loss adjusters. Absolute car crash of a company. 8 months to put my kitchen back together following an escape of water claim. I know Trust pilot isn't always the most accurate measuring stick, but the volume of 1 star reviews over the past 6 months tells you all you need to know.

Thornton Heath is unbelievable. Why on earth are most of those back streets not made one way. It really is a no-brainer. When I go back for a visit I can guarantee that each day and night there is a stand-off between drivers, either being too ignorant or too machismo to give way. Every household seems to own two cars. Most of which come with a Handicapped sign; so there is no place to pull in.
You'll find older drivers getting nearly to the end of the road when all of a sudden Billy big bollocks with his drug bought motor flies around the corner and refuses to back up. His intimidation usually works and the poor old couple have to back up to the last turning.

Pulled up in the car park at the gym in New Addington on thursday. Another car pulls up along side me and a young girl who works at the gym got out.
The woman driving the car had a tub of noodles she was eating in one hand, took a big mouthful and then proceeded to chuck the remaining noodles and container out of her window on to the floor of the car park.
When she saw that I had spotted her, she called me a 'nosey f**king c**t' and drove off.

Bagpipes. Could a musical instrument sum up the Scot's better. A continuous f**king high pitched whine.

When I lived in the UK, it either didn't exist or was called something else, same with tea bagging :)

Yep, aside from one interaction I had with one couple (they returned my wife's lost mobile phone). I'm afraid the only people who constantly defend them don't live anywhere near any sites and never come into any contact with them.

This is an interesting watch.
Seen 'The Truth About Traveller Crime: Dispatches'?
Watch it here on All 4: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/...ime_dispatches

Do bears shit in the woods? Travellers = crime increase. Accusations of being racist if they try and do anything. Law unto themselves. If, as was stated, it’s a minority, why don’t the majority sort them out internally?
They could have interviewed me and I could have told them about quads stolen, car smashed and threatened for not letting a cut up merchant in, rideon lawnmowers being repeatedly stolen every traveller season, so ins company would not longer Insure. They leave the door wide open now and remove everything before, digger stolen with a tracker shown to be in the local site ( the one mentioned in Surrey) police didn’t want to know and gave an insurance form even though full CCTV. Spitting and causing chaos in a local coffee shop and when asked not to threats etc and they simply carried on. Driveways tarmac’s and charged OAP neighbours extortionate money. Loads of shite dumped in parents small plot “coz they could” putting an common turned into a rubbish tip by an invading horde and again abuse from anyone who dared to even look at them.
Delightful group of people.

Sorry. Next time I'll pretend I'm looking elsewhere.

Pavement isn’t part of the Highway, AFAIK

I’m pretty sure they can be nicked, for something, but I don’t think it’s for blocking the highway

Cones in the road outside houses to "reserve" their spot

Couple opposite me do that everyday, i dont care as my drive fits 2 cars. But their neighbours have about 5 vehicles and there's a garage down the road that leaves customers cars there as well. So i kind of get it.
