Still watching the Pro bowl at the moment, watching it in dribs and drabs, generally because it's actually incredibly boring. The effort exerted by the players in minimal, they might as well not have a line of scrimmage as once the ball is snapped the players just seem to stand up, push each once then stop giving the QB about half an hour to pick a pass to one of the receivers who isn't covered because the cornerback has ran back for 2 or 3 strides then decided to jog/walk the rest of the way. Just seems a bit boring and pointless, I now see why a lot of people don't like the pro bowl.

Oh, and as for the big one this weekend, heart says Saints, head says Colts although if Freeney doesn't play then that will be a HUGE boost of Brees and co.

I have got as far as Wilfork running out when announced, felt quite ill seeing him run and haven't got back to it yet ...

I still need to download it.

Hopefully will watch it over the weekend before the big one!

:hi:

As I said last week, have a big piss up and watch the fireworks like they do down here. :p

saxoneagle 04-02-2010 12:30 PM

"Down here" they only get pissed so much to make up for the lack of culture and anything more meaningful to do ;)

oz_da II 04-02-2010 12:37 PM

Plenty to do if you know where to look...

I do - under the water where I don't have to interact with Australians :p

oz_da II 04-02-2010 02:14 PM

I'm sure they prefer it that way too...

Looking forward to the big one on Sunday anyway, bro's and Uncle coming round for it, nip to Iceland as they always do some good nibbles like chicken chunks, mini kebabs, mini kievs, tempura shrimp, prawn rings, spring rolls, meatballs, sesame seed toasts etc etc, some decent ground filter coffee, few bottles of Dr Pepper, Pepsi and some beers (although not many as we'll fall asleep!), a couple hours of Madden on Xbox to prepare and then on to the game itself! Got my old man up for the afternoon to celebrate his birthday a bit so should be a good day, hopefully I'll be able to sleep in a bit on Monday morning as I have the day off.

Swanny32 04-02-2010 02:36 PM

Although having said that the last time I had the Iceland party snack stuff it was really crap, might make a trip to Sainsbury's and get some better quality stuff as it's a big occasion.

I have tried convincing my Uncle to become an Eagles fan so he will enjoy the trip to Philly in September a bit more but I have a feeling the winner of the game on Sunday will be his team. He's a professional glory hunter, he's an Irish Manc!

The NFC would have been shutdown if it'd have been played properly.

Revis and Asomugha vs Romo and McNabb. Pick-heaven.

JaMarcus Russell, come on down... the price is right! ;)

pauldrulez 04-02-2010 10:48 PM

:p

Was going to put that as an add-on.

I had 300lb QB, but I think that may even be accurate right now.

Oakland Raiders - formerly where you go to Die. Now where you go to eat. Even McFadden is looking fat.

smidlet 04-02-2010 10:49 PM

Yep, heart says Saints but can't see past the Colts TBH.

Should be a good game. Both sides look more offensively minded so could be quite entertaining.

Glad I've got Monday off :p

Strathclyde Eagle 04-02-2010 11:08 PM

End zones are going to be blue (Colts) and gold (Saints) for Sunday... if anyone is interested/has kids with new felt tips.
