One of my most memorable sporting moment on the telly as a kid.

It seems that Kellen Winslow II has been up to no good since leaving the NFL:

Quote:

Kellen Winslow Jr. was arraigned today in a San Diego court on a list of charges that included forcible rape, sodomy by use of force, and kidnapping. Court documents and a prosecutor also provided more details about what the former NFL tight end is accused of doing to multiple women.

According to court records obtained by KFMB-TV in San Diego, Winslow is charged with kidnapping and forcibly raping a 54-year-old woman on March 17 of this year. He is charged with kidnapping, forcibly raping, and sodomizing a 59-year-old woman about two months later, on May 13, according to those documents. Winslow is charged with nine counts, which also include burglary, oral copulation, and indecent exposure.

Here are all the charges Winslow is facing, according to TMZ Sports:

two counts of kidnapping with intent to commit rape
two counts of forcible rape
one count of forcible sodomy
one count of forcible oral copulation
two counts of residential burglary
one count of indecent exposure

If convicted on all charges, Winslow would face life in prison.

Hi guys. Bit of advice needed if anyone can help.

For my 30th Birthday my girlfriend has been an absolute legend and got me a trip to Boston for 3 nights and tickets to the Week 4 Patriots v Dolphins game. We are staying in central Boston and I have been looking at ways of getting down to Gillette on game day. As it's my first time to the stadium I am keen to get down there fairly early and have a walk around Patriot Place, take in the atmosphere. With regards to the Patriot Train from central Boston I have heard it can be a bit unreliable in terms of timings (if anyone has been on it before and could tell me otherwise that would be brilliant). I believe it is due to get to the stadium an hour before however some reviews have stated it can quite often be delayed and get you there only 20 minutes before Kick Off. We aren't hiring a car so driving isn't an option. Does anyone know if there is any other way of getting down there in order to have a few hours before the game, something to eat and a beer or 2.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Ok brilliant, thanks for that. That could be a good option for getting down there and maybe jumping on the train back as I can imagine even with $20 off it will probably still be a $50/$60 to get down there. Have you been to Gillette before and got an Uber there?

Shady McCoy might be in OJ in Vegas levels of trouble:

Quote:

On July 10, 2018 at approximately 3:18 A.M., Milton Police responded to a home invasion at a residence on Hickory Pass near the Cherokee County line. The preliminary investigation indicates that this residence was specifically targeted by the suspect or suspects, and not a random incident.

When officers arrived they found one victim who had been physically assaulted by a lone intruder. During the altercation, the suspect demanded specific items from the victim. An adult female victim was treated and released at North Fulton Regional Hospital. A second adult female victim also sustained a minor injury during the incident.
What does this have to do with McCoy?

LeSean McCoy Wanted to Evict Delicia Cordon From His Home: Court Documents
Quote:

On June 6, Tamarcus “TJ” Porter, McCoy’s friend and a fellow former University of Pittsburgh football player, filed a proceeding in Fulton County court against Cordon on McCoy’s behalf. The court document stated, “defendant is ex-girlfriend of owner/plaintiff and refuses to leave.” The filing also requested that Cordon, “return any/all items removed from the premises.”

Porter, who spelled McCoy’s first name wrong incorrectly in the filing,

The June 2018 filing was the second attempt to have Cordon removed from the home by McCoy. In July 2017, McCoy said in a court document that he was “no longer in a relationship” with Cordon, but had allowed her to “live rent-free” in his home for five months. That case appears to have been dropped, but it is not clear if McCoy and Cordon reconciled and began to date again.

On June 1, while Cordon was out-of-state, her attorney says McCoy had his friends, family members and laborers remove her furniture and furnishings from the Alpharetta home without her knowledge. She saw this taking place on security cameras and called the police. Officers arrived and stopped the removal of her belongings, her attorney says. Cordon’s attorney says McCoy then had the electricity turned off on the home.

According to court records, a hearing on the case was scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, but Cordon’s attorney filed an emergency request for it to be rescheduled because her mother was in the hospital. An August hearing date was set.

Fair enough I say. 5months rent free is more than enough grace to give her a clip around the earhole and an eviction.
His house, his electricity, but what's the bet he gets the wrong end of the stick here.

I’ve only just seen this but on past recommendations, if you can drive, then hire a car and spend the entire day there. Get there super early and let the crowds go before you leave.

Failing that, try and get a hotel room somewhere near Foxboro the night before or after the game as the traffic is awful and you want to enjoy the day rather than stress

Does anybody know what the deal is with Sunday games on Sky this season?

Skys fixture list only shows Friday, Monday and Tuesday games listed with a channel. I know last year they started moving towards RedZone for all 6pms is that the same?

As much as redzone is great for all coverage, i used to like to sit down and watch a whole game and have the option of flicking over to RedZone as and when

Also there are some big week 1 games this year!

Falcons @ Eagles
Cowboys @ Carolina
Jags @ Giants
49ers @ Vikings
Seahawks @ Broncos
Rams @ Raiders

Cannot wait!

Thursday and Monday games only have one game at a time so they know who to show. 6pm and 9pm games Sunday have multiple so they will have just not decided yet. Usually a couple of weeks (or less) beforehand.

Not sure how much pre-season can be read into. Interesting to see a few teams giving snaps though to their first choice (Flacco)

Hmm, the fact I still haven't got a ticket for the Eagles game and they are looking ridiculously expensive makes me less bothered about that.

In fact until the anthem stuff is sorted out and the players are allowed to protest as they see fit i'm not giving any money to the NFL (i.e. no gamepass and no games).

aj4england 10-08-2018 03:06 PM

The hype around Saquons 'run' is brilliant. Proper pre-season stuff, love it!

aj4england 17-08-2018 11:17 AM

Thoughts on the new Hard Knocks?

As much as there as been hype around the Browns with Tyord and Baker as QBs, with Landry as their only reliable WR with Gordon and Callaways discipline, and as Nick Chubb as starting RB, hard to see them progressing beyond a 5-12 season IMO.

hughff 27-08-2018 09:58 PM

OBJ gets $19M/year. Meanwhile, LVB can't get an offer over $14M/year.

I know the logic is that WR are less likely to get hurt than RB but Bell's injury record is no worse than Beckham's. Undeniably, Bell makes more yards from scrimmage and gets way more first downs.

aj4england 28-08-2018 10:48 AM

Giants were always going to pay OBJ, just a matter of when. Not many players can get hat deal on the back of barely playing the season before....
