Commentators using the term 'lines' when talking about players.
Alot of the time it used as 'clearing his lines' But yesterday it was on the Palace versus Watford highlights when Ayew scuffed the cross from McArthur and the commentator said something like: 'Ayew misplacing his lines' The initial phrase doesnt mean anything, but this was an even more harpooned use of the term 'lines' to attempt to sound football smart when it had zero application, he just scuffed a shot for **** sake, nothing to do with any mythical lines. I know that the season ahead will met with this stupid phrase. Atleast my TV football viewing will go down by more than 50%... |
Where do i start today? Loads of grief getting my wifes passport finally sorted today. Now paying through the nose for Pcr tests for the kids and for when we return. Really feel like we are being ripped off but there is no choice.

Sorry, why's this 'news'? It happens all time. |
Went to the market at 7:30 this morning and found myself in the middle of the school-run traffic. Apparently the precious little urchins went back to school this week.
It is an illogical annoyance, but bloody annoying anyway. I've rather enjoyed the quiet roads at 7:30 for the last year. I suspect it's a generational thing, as pretty much nobody arrived at school by car back in the day. |

Moronic reporters on the Australian news, who seemingly can't
speak a whole sentence in one go. It's like they're waiting for their target audience to hear and have to digest no more than a handful of words at a time. |

The other week NBC delivered the news that a fella called Schauffele became the first American golfer to win a gold medal since 1900. Finally!
They didn't bother explaining that golf was only reintroduced at the Olympics in 2016 and the only two previous times it was contested was in 1900 and 1904. But let's not ruin a good story in which Schauffele broke a U.S drought that lasted a 121 years. |

Two "friends" who were looking for a place to put their 7-year-old dog as they are going on vacation as the place they usually go to closed, they had no luck.
So we found out today they dropped Maggie off at the (R)SPCA this morning, saying after 7 years of the dog being completely trustworthy and not one incident, they are now scared for the grandchildren with the dog...... Tossser's of the highest! https://i.postimg.cc/T3d5QVdC/Maggie.jpg |

They will make up some justification for their action. Probably invent that the dog bit one of the grandchildren. Hope nothing happens to them on their holiday. |
People saying they are “thirty years of age”. Well it wasn’t going to be of height was it? Thirty years old please.

I think it's well established that I'm crap at spelling, thus rely on spell check tools quite a bit.
What is annoying is that one of the words I have problems with is "since". I tend to always spell it "sinse" and I will get the squiggly red line saying it is wrong, but it never offers the correct spelling as an option. Always strikes me as odd, as it would seem an obvious misspelling for dumb arses like me. |

Yep, the 3 Mustangs I’ve owned were all 4 cylinder bottom of the line cars. But they do now make some seriously powerful high performance cars (as they did in the 60’s). I guess you could rent one from a specialist rental firm, but probably cost a fair bit. Not sure the Pacific Coast Highway would be the best road to put it through it’s paces though. |

I appreciate it must feel good for the tourist (I even did the same for my 50's birthday when we went to Hawaii), but from my experience the rental companies only carry basic models, and may have a few of the GT versions available at a price. Plus I found it is way too hot to have the roof down, especially if you get stuck in a traffic jam (sun burn with no hiding place)... and in Hawaii it kept raining! |

Perhaps because he's not politicizing the English flag, like some insist upon? Or because he's not wholly ashamed to be English? Or doesn't share the double standard of automatically donating racism to the St George while donating wonderful patriotism to St Andrews, the Welsh Griffin, a Jamacian flag or one from India? And making sure to lift a pint of St Paddy's while resolutely condemning anyone who thinks of going to the pub on St George's? Or even that he is politicizing the St George flag because he knows there are so many who like to fashionably spit on it these days? And despise all who will not agree? Please have a word with yourself. The mindset you just espoused is pathetic. ( And now I suppose I must be 'Right Wing' or 'White Supremacist' because I don't automatically take issue with anyone who dares wear the flag of their country anywhere on their person, even if they are white English? ) :S: |

But thank you for proving how entrenched your mindset is in you types of race warrior. Got ahead of you calling me 'Right Wing' tho, didn't I? Only options for comebacks you had left were to find a way to defend your hatred ( and you can't ) or evade trying to justify it. So you chose the latter. What I knew you would never do is admit you have a prejudice. You can't and dare not. Too much 'virtue' to lose, on these pages. Anyway, done with you now. |

Rental companies used to have licence plate holders with Avis, Hertz, Alamo etc. on them. They had to stop putting these on the car for the same reason. Now they are conspicuous by not having any licence plate holder (most cars have one of some sort) and by having a bar code sticker in the back window. Plus they "just look" like a rental car! |
