Maybe my choice of words "Failure" could have been different as he did have some decent innings against India and then the misfortune of the finger injury. But then his form fell away hence why he got ignored eventhough we went through countless of other opening batsmen, maybe the error was by the selectors to reintroduce him into an Ashes series in Australia, but looking at his nervous and unsure approach does not bode well for an Opener and that is what i am judging him by.
Lets see what happens in the months ahead and if the selectors still have faith in him or not.
