You would have to think so. It's a pitch that suits him. Would be bizarre if he was fit and not picked.

Especially as he's been previously rested.

Anyway, off for rain now which helps my 3-0/3-1 bets a little....

In other news (not, I appreciate, specifically related to 2021 Ashes), Tom Harrison seems to have finally woken up to what we've all been saying for ages about red-ball cricket in England....

Steve Harmison via a note to David Gower on commentary said he is

That is very true, as just when you think you have got them on the ropes you get Green come in and turn it around again, at least he's out before any real damage if he had got to a century.:)
We can only hope that our batsmen put smiles back on our faces after what has been a dismal series.

Burns run out 0, bloody awful cricket .

RazorsEdge 15-01-2022 05:26 AM

It was a wrong call by Zac there was no single there and direct hit by lagershandy. Burns had no luck

KYLIE MINEAGLE 15-01-2022 05:45 AM

It was school boy running. Smith or Labuschagne would have dived for that .

Another stellar contribution from the Surrey captain I see.

Brilliant stuff. What a player.

KYLIE MINEAGLE 15-01-2022 07:46 AM

Going to struggle to avoid the follow on chasing 300.

ExiledStirling 15-01-2022 07:47 AM

An England batting collapse. Never saw that coming.

Yeah it’s a puzzler for sure.

I have a small amount of sympathy for our middle order. They are constantly coming in facing a relatively new ball because our openers can’t hang around for more than a few deliveries. You will win very few test matches with shit opening batsman.

This simply has to be the final test match for a lot of players & staff.

Disgrace is a strong word but this is a disgrace.

Aki Aki Aki 15-01-2022 08:01 AM

The pitch is too green for a non English Test.

Over to you Sam

ANTEAGLE 15-01-2022 08:04 AM

The comeback is on! Centuries for each of these lads. We bowl the Aussies out for 150 meaning we are chasing about 50 and then we get bowled out for 37.
