Does anyone know what date the tailgate tickets email was sent out last year for the official tailgate? Want to try and get tickets for it again.

jazman 29-07-2010 11:19 AM

I may have to do the same this year as well actually as I missed out on that. Was it worth it?

Swanny32 29-07-2010 12:02 PM

Oh yeah, big time. 3D NFL was amazing, seeing all the superbowl rings, the Vince Lombardi trophy, all the teams stands, cheerleaders, merchandise, beer, food......well worth it fella. Im not sure how they can make it any different or better but I'd be happy if it was just the same as last year. It would be good to have a decent band on stage.

jazman 29-07-2010 12:09 PM

How much were the tickets?

ardeo 29-07-2010 12:11 PM

Free, just had to apply for them.

Thought you wanted to do the Colchester Gladiators one Chris?

Swanny32 29-07-2010 12:22 PM

Yeah, I was thinking about it as we wouldn't have to apply for tickets but I really enjoyed the official one last year and I think there is more to do in there than in the Green Man one.

Problem is getting tickets for everyone as you are going with your mate aren't you?

jazman 29-07-2010 12:23 PM

Will have to lookout for them then ...

Swanny32 29-07-2010 12:26 PM

I think the email came out around mid August last year but you have to respond to it quick and hope to get lucky

Yea there will be 4 of us, think the plan was to go early, have a look round, and a bite to eat, then try and head off to a pub for a few beers and to watch whatever footy match was on.

Swanny32 29-07-2010 01:09 PM

I'll still see if we can get tickets for the official tailgate but play it by ear on the day, I can't say I'm too bothered about going to find the football in a crowded pub. That being said, if it's raining then I'll be game for going anywhere with cover!

y2rich 29-07-2010 01:39 PM

We went to the Green Man last year. Good laugh for a bit but I had a stinking hangover from the night before so couldn't really enjoy it.

Bellyman 29-07-2010 01:50 PM

Tailgate was awesome,
The guys mucking about with the football which stewards then confiscated, but carried on with a plastic cup.

Swanny32 29-07-2010 04:10 PM

TO missed his flight and is late for his first day on the job.............good start TO........twat! Oh how the Bengals are going to regret this.

pauldrulez 29-07-2010 07:26 PM

Because you like to know these sort of things.

Taylor Price carried off Randy Moss's and Torry Holt's pads after practice while wearing his own.

:p

Foolish. He now has to watch out when they tell him to pick up the soap in the shower.

Very different situation to Dez Bryant though. Why should he respect Williams? He should be carrying Dez's pads!! :D

pauldrulez 29-07-2010 07:34 PM

I said that at the time. :p

Great opportunity for Price though, gets to hold two future Hall of Famers pads as he walks off the field.

even so, I said on a Bostock thread that Bryant should have carried the pads, but told him that when he takes his place in the team, Williams can carry his pads.

pauldrulez 29-07-2010 07:43 PM

As long as Bryant doesn't dump his pads on a Rookie next year, I have no problem with it.

Swanny32 29-07-2010 08:30 PM

yeah, Bryant has kind of set the tone for himself in the future, everyone will be watching next year.

jazman 29-07-2010 10:34 PM

Give the geezer a chance ... Otherwise he will turn into the next TO without getting any game time under his belt :D
