RANDY :(

I already miss him. I don't get why you get rid of him when we are looking like a team that should make the play-offs this year and could do well with just a bit of magic (enter Moss) and a tougher D.

Then again Belicheck knows the ins and outs of football far better than me and I'm sure as you guys have said he has a plan.

What I will say though is that noone will replace him, even now that he's not at his very best any more, he's still a very special receiver - irreplaceable (especially in the third round of the draft!).

How many Superbowl rings do Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have?

How many Rings does Randy Moss have?

We won a Superbowl with Troy Brown, David Patten and a bunch of JAGs at RB, WR and TE. I don't think it's too offensive to say that David Patten would be the 6th WR option on this team now.

This offense now is a 2WR/2TE/1RB offense. Gronkowski and Hernandez will hit a wall at some point, but Alge Crumpler is looking good as well. Welker is Welker, he'll get open somehow. His routes are mostly options, he'll find a way. Tate is a home-run hitter on Special Teams, i'm looking forward to seeing him in an expanded role.

As for the playoffs,

Randy Moss in December and January is not Randy Moss in September. Especially in Foxboro. It gets cold, he shuts down. He was a non-factor through the 4 playoff games (Aside his TD in SB42) he played in New England. Welker and the Running game stepped up in 2007. Without Wes and no running game, there was nothing against Baltimore last year and we got squashed.

Bill was preparing for the inevitable with Moss. He knew it was coming and started to see signs of it.

Moss as a decoy is great for this offense.

Moss as a decoy is not great for a guy in the last year of his contract.

May be worth posting this on the actual Wembley game thread. I think that there is one that has been set up for this seasons game.

Dont think anyone set one up, Jaz

This is another slight rumour i'm hearing about Moss.

This moment shown above pissed off a couple of the hierarchy. During the National Anthem, Moss is ranting at players up and down the sideline. Not a good move apparently.

You could also add that Belichick's father served his country and it may have caused offense that he chose that moment to start screaming.

Whether true or just a rumour, who knows. No real need to do it though.

Great preparation for the Dallas game tomorrow as I spent the evening in a Smith&Western restaurant with good country music being played and sitting in the jail section ... even bought the kids cowboy hats ,,, Yeehaaa!!! :D :p

Hedgehog 09-10-2010 10:43 PM

So Brett Favre joins the list of sportsmen who shouldn't be allowed to use a cell phone!

LLCOOLSTEVE 09-10-2010 10:50 PM

Damn!

Hedgehog 10-10-2010 12:47 AM

While he was at The Jets... allegedly he sent her some provocative photos of himself, and left some dodgy voice mails.

I was looking at some web site, and she seems to have an obsession with taking pictures of herself... just head shots. Strikes me as a little bit in the "one to avoid" category (not that I would have the opportunity!)

pauldrulez 10-10-2010 12:48 AM

Wow, but seriously Favre, you're old enough to be her Grandad. Especially if you come from Thornton Heath :D

No way is that particular picture taken during the playing of the National Anthem.

All those players on the bench would be standing up. Americans are pretty anal about their National Anthem, I don't think that amount of players would diss it.

Chester 10-10-2010 01:19 AM

I'd rather not have seen the texts of his dinkle anyway

American flag is out in the background.

It's just before it starts, the Linemen get up and walk past Moss to the sideline, Moss is still yelling during the start of the anthem at them followed by the Running Back group.

jazman 10-10-2010 11:02 AM

Favre should not be interviewed either. He made a complete cock of himself gushing over the arrival of Moss.
