These are the sort of things I like about this thread! I have another question as well, I would've asked it later, but I'll only forget.

If your teams were 100% healthy (I.E Pats have Wilfork etc back, Bengals have Adkins), if you could add any 3 players to your own team, who would it be, and give a basic reason for it!

Patriots:
1. Larry Fitzgerald - I'd love to see what he could do with Brady. Megatron/Green are the obvious ones, but Fitzgerald will run the dirty routes too. The ones where you are going to get clouted very hard at the end of the play.

2. Earl Thomas or Eric Berry - I would like to watch more of Seattle to see how good Thomas is close to the line of scrimmage. Or, is he an out and out Free Safety. Berry is the best Strong Safety type in the NFL in my opinion.

3. Jimmy Graham - The man who shall not be named was as close as anyone will ever get to being Jimmy Graham. He's the prototypical Joker tight end. He was so key to the NE offense, almost as important as the Gronk.

The interesting thing to come out of it so far (to me)

Is that the two sure things of the 2012 draft, Luck and RG3 are not in any list.

As Oz says, you have to look at a 30 year old as the oldest you'd want to start a franchise.

Oz, I would possibly say that in giving Rodgers another weapon, why not look at one of the best catching RB's in the NFL. Maybe a Vereen (I'm biased), or a Woodhead (Still possibly biased), or Sproles/Bush. I love AJ Green and wish he had a decent QB. If Megatron was 2 years older, I'd have gone with Green.

I almost went with Green over Megatron....but then came to my senses. You're right though, if Megatron was a couple years older you'd probably be forced to think of someone else. AJ Green is head and shoulders above the rest of the field without Megatron.

3 players I'd add.....

Eric Berry - Our secondary has never really recovered from losing B-Dawk, Eric Berry is young, quick and has a great pair of hands, maybe the only thing I'd change about him would be for him to impose himself as more of a leader.

Clay Matthews - I know he's a bit of a twat, but he's hench and a leader, he'd snap our D in shape pretty quick. Also thought about Von Miller here but Matthews has a bit more experience and that's what we'd need on that side of the ball. That being said I'm starting to like our linebackers a bit more this year than I have in previous years.

Megatron - Riley Cooper is starting to show he's worth a spot but we still lack a "go up and get it" receiver. Megatron is the best at this.

Not sure anybody saw this over the weekend, but surely this is a medical condition that Knowshon Moreno suffers from.

Wilkerson and Jeffery I really considered. Went with Atkins and a 2nd TE (Graham) instead.

I'd built at the RB position via the draft or free agency.

Sproles is 30, Bush is pushing 29. Who knows when they'll be done but it might not be long.
Think I could eventually get better RBs than Woodhead and/or Vereen.

Nate Solder?

There does seem to be a dearth of young Offensive Tackles at the moment

Big game in New Orleans tonight... I am staying up to watch Orlando Magic in Houston anyway so this will be on in the background too until the Magic game finishes. :p

Crazy weather everywhere, including Tampa where it's 80 degrees.

That Philadelphia/Detroit game is madness!

How can there be no snow in New York at the Jets game tho?

Latvian Eagle 08-12-2013 07:00 PM

Not being funny but is there any point trying to run in Phili? :o The players can't even move never mind run with the ball. Lol.

Because it looks like they have a 30mph wind coming down the field. Stafford already had a pass drop 20 yards short of his receiver.

El Kooch 08-12-2013 07:03 PM

Its not sunny in philadelphia

Latvian Eagle 08-12-2013 07:12 PM

Looks fun though. :)

kayjay 08-12-2013 07:12 PM

Never seen a game played in such deep snow as at Philly.
Chiefs breaking all sorts of records in Washington.
31-0 with 10 minutes left in the 2nd
McCluster has already punt returned for 140 yards
