Carson Palmer got a pumping last time I saw him here, with the Bengals I think.

Nice to see him exorcising the ghost of Jake vs the Cards a few years back.

SUPERBOWL!

Amazing how Carson Palmer finally came good after all these years.

I can't thing of a football (soccer) equivalent story.

pauldrulez 25-01-2016 08:19 AM

Well, that was an obliteration.

Icy 25-01-2016 09:35 AM

Didnt do very well at the bookies. Had the Pats to smash the Broncos and the Cards to edge out Carolina. How wrong can you be...

Can't see beyond the Panthers to win, which probably means Broncos will nick it.

Lumped on the over 50 points in the Carolina game, such a cert

VHA any reason why we have been wearing White in the Play offs?

Will we be in Black or White (or Blue) for the Superbowl?

I have no idea. What seems to be the case is that everyone likes the black the most, the blue next, and the white least. And they wear the white the most, followed by the blue, followed by the black.

Looks like we are in Black for the SB. "The Panthers are 9-4 all-time in white jerseys in the playoffs while 0-2 in black. Carolina lost Super Bowl XXXVIII wearing white jerseys."

We wore this season Black 6 times, White 7 times and Blue 3 times. :moo:

Police today released a lengthy collection of what they called their “primary case paperwork” to the media, explaining the circumstances surrounding Coleman’s arrest that night. Witnesses told the police that about 6:20 p.m. Coleman’s Dodge Ram was weaving in and out of the center turn lane, before accelerating rapidly and rear ending a Honda Civic traveling at a normal rate of speed. Coleman left his foot on the accelerator for “several seconds” without once hitting the brakes, pushing the Civic about 260 feet, until both vehicles left the road and flipped over going up a hillside, according to police. The Civic’s driver suffered a fractured clavicle and an unspecified head injury.

A search of Coleman’s truck revealed, among other more mundane possessions, the following items:
  • A blue and red multicolor glass spoon with a black tarry residue
  • An open package labeled “F’d Up! Aromatic Therapy”
  • Three five gram pouches of Mad Pitbulls Aromatic Therapy
  • A hard candy called “EdiPure Lemon Drops” containing 100 mg of THC
  • An open package of a hard candy labeled “Red Delicious” containing THC, with some loose candies on the center console
  • Fruit roll-ups labeled “Watermelon Ribbons” containing 250 mg of THC
  • ACT mouthwash
  • Rohto Cool Redness Reliever eyedrops
  • 10 mm magazine containing 10 live 10mm rounds
  • Two slippers near the pedals

It's been coming.

That Line hasn't improved all season, and you can't let that happen. Nice guy, but he couldn't fix it this year, after doing a very good job last year after the nightmare of the first 4 games.

He's no Dante Scarnecchia.

I have no interest in talking about uniforms, but saw this:

Quote:

Like two years ago, the Broncos are in the Super Bowl. Like two years ago, the Broncos are the home team in the Super Bowl.

Unlike two years ago, the Broncos won’t be wearing their orange jerseys during the Super Bowl.

Via the Associated Press, the Broncos have chosen to wear white in Super Bowl 50. G.M. John Elway explained the decision in simple terms.

“We’ve had Super Bowl success in our white uniforms,” Elway said.

They’ve had equal success in their blue uniforms, winning one to cap the 1997 season in blue and one to end 1998 in white. But they’ve struggled in orange, losing to the Cowboys (1977), Washington (1987), San Francisco (1989), and Seattle (2013) wearing the blend of red and yellow.

And so it’s likely more about not wearing orange (0-4) than wearing white, in which the Broncos are 1-1, the jersey color when losing to the Giants in 1986.

To the extent that any of this matters (and it doesn’t), the Panthers may welcome the chance not to wear white. Twelve years ago, they lost their only Super Bowl appearance in white jerseys.

Yep, I was wrong. Made some fundamental errors early, but got beaten by a better defensive line on the day.

Next year:(

Of course it's all complete bollocks, but funny that so many teams particularly in the NFL seem to perceive this "luck" of certain uniforms.

I have no doubt we would have picked White or failing that Blue if we could have for the SB.

Ever heard of Kurt Warner? He was stacking Super Market shelves after the Packers released him!
