ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Lions star receiver Calvin Johnson informed coach Jim Caldwell that he is retiring from the NFL. Schefter, citing sources, says Johnson told friends and family before the season that this would be his final one in the NFL—and told Caldwell the day after the regular season ended.

Pro Bowl so so pointless now

Strathclyde Eagle 01-02-2016 02:17 AM

The fact Teddy Bridgewater is involved (at least at this stage of his career) would be a valid argument for that.

Funk Butter 01-02-2016 09:47 PM

Unfortunately, this will be Calvin Johnson's lasting legacy.

What's a good beer to get to watch the Super Bowl? Budwiser is the obvious stereotypical option, but any other candidates?

My current fav, but I doubt you're going to find it. Don't worry though I will buy an extra bottle or two and think of you as I get stuck into them :p

That Belichick: Do Your Job programme is pretty bloody good

A real insight into that Superbowl win

Very good and very insightful. The bits showing how Ernie Adams had spotted the trend of pick routes on the goal line and then they ran them in practice against multiple players that Friday was insane. Especially Butler getting beaten in practice, being told what to do and then doing it to perfection.

And now he is a genuine top 10 player at the position. Strap deserves everything he gets in his career. He gives up plays, but makes plays. Love those sort of stories around the league, but he made the biggest game-changing play in NFL history!

No disrespect FB as we all have different tastes but I couldn't begin to believe how bad it was. May have got a bad batch but nonetheless, never will I try another.

You just have to look at the post from Vince Hilaire's Afro to get to the bad beer. Pabst Blue Ribbon, Budweiser, Natural Light, Milwaukee's Best, etc all suck.

Coors Lite.

That's my contribution. (Personally, drinking Lagunitas IPA at this very minute but there you go)

Sam Adams or Brooklyn Lager.

Which reminds me, I must get some in.

AddiscombeEagle 03-02-2016 11:56 PM

Watched the Pats programme tonight. Good piece of television and great insight into the coaching game.

Really was good to watch. I do wonder if Palace go anywhere near that level of planning and analysis. I suspect I know the answer.:sob:
