I wonder if the Cows will try and re-sign Miles Austin now.

That was my thought, we may draft one. It's going to be interesting to see if Romo is capable of performing free of the shackles TO appeared to put on him ... I suspect TO had quite an effect on the OC Garrett as well which should never happen.

Very possibly.

Sorry, turning out to be a Cowboys day today ... :D

pauldrulez 05-03-2009 12:40 PM

Not surprised about TO, the Cowboys will probably have to look at Free Agency considering they don't have a first rounder this year.

I'd say they go for Austin as 3rd WR, have Crayton as No.2 and then you have Witten to pick up the shorter passes.

I'm expecting Giants to be slightly worse, and the rest of us better to varying degrees, will depend on rest of free agent moves and draft picks too!

pauldrulez 05-03-2009 12:45 PM

TO to the Raiders?

Wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world would it? ;)

Oh yeah, they love him in the Bay area!

Giants worse? Have you seen what they have done on D during free agency?

A great D last year, injuries coming back and they've ADDED Bernard from Seattle, Canty from Dallas... you chaps are going to struggle to even score against them!

jazman 05-03-2009 12:58 PM

Just pray he gets picked by someone otherwise he'll be on Total Access more than likely ... :D

Yep, disapointed on this one but read that he wanted to as does Roy Williams now that he is off the IR list ...

pauldrulez 05-03-2009 01:08 PM

Am I right in saying that Dallas aren't going to be letting go/trading the OLD average Roy Williams? As he said he wanted to go, but I think I read on PFT that he isn't going anywhere.

Oh, and i'll add my RIP to the likely deaths of the two players and their friend that died in the accident over the weekend.

I think they want to keep him but he is still wanting to leave. Think he is getting annoyed, like James in Arizona. There is a chance they will be cut late and they are getting upset that the late cut will limit their opportunities elsewhere.

Guess he's a cheaper option as cover at 33 years old.

SPrings is a fantastic corner. Does really well shutting down TO, as we're talking about him.

But he's always crocked. Played only 8 times last season. The limbs will be a year older.

Congrats to the Cowboys for releasing that cancer, and like that they are already a better team, see how easy it is ;)

Here comes the Raiders or the Bungals to snap him up in 3..2..1..

Benzhiyi 05-03-2009 02:12 PM

Nice gesture from the Lions.

Free agency and draft talk all seems meaningless given the events of this week.

Ocho Stinko wont be happy if that happens.

Imagine if the Raiders get TO and then Crabtree falls to them in the draft.

They go from Ashley Lelie and the other guy that isn't Johnnie Lee-Higgins
(edit: remembered name. Chaz Schilens)

to Terrell Owens and Michael Crabtree.

Guess he will fit in well to Johnson's rotation Defence if he is only fit for about 8 games in the season :D

It'll make a difference to JaMarcus Russell who would have weapons and may also help Darren McFadden who wouldn't have to compete with 8 in the box :D
