Sweepstake.

When does he get hurt?
@ Cleveland. No chance
@ Detroit. Nil chance.
vs SanFran. Willis?
vs Green Bay. Possibly.
@ STL. No.
Here comes the run of pain
vs Baltimore = pain
@ Steelers = more pain
@ Packers = certain doom.

Then is their bye week.

If he makes it that far.

Whats this Favre block you speak of?

oz_da II 03-09-2009 03:41 PM

or when does he ride the pine for too many INTs?

Indeed.

Hopefully 5, with splinters by 6.

But I reckon they'll keep him for the year sadly.

pauldrulez 03-09-2009 03:51 PM

Week 1. ;)

Swanny, he done a Crackback block on Eugene Wilson who wasn't looking at Favre. Just assuming he'd be the normal Wildcat QB. Out wide doing nothing. Caused an injury to Wilson and he'll get a fine.

2 year contract though.

Then we'll have to hear the will he/wont he thing again.

It seems to be a tradition that your first choice players don't play the final pre season game ..

Worth checking out the Favre block Swanny, it was said after that he probably didn't know he could do that ... it was in the Wildcat when he was in the WR starting position, the runner came his way with the ball and he blocked an oncoming defensive player ... ouch! I think the Texan is okay though ... sat out the rest of the game ...

Google it. Its on YT.

It's a pretty skanky block really. If a WR had done that they'd have been in trouble.

Swanny32 03-09-2009 04:55 PM

Nasty nasty block, Favre is lucky he didn't do some permanent damage there. I assume he has publicly apologized for it?

elliott 03-09-2009 05:31 PM

Yay.

Jeff Jagodzinski has been fired. [Already].

Truly gutted for him.

:lux: :lux:

pauldrulez 03-09-2009 05:38 PM

As Schefter tweeted.

The only guy that can be fired twice in one year without even having a regular season game played.

Brad Childress is reading that Football Coaching for Dummies book from The Waterboy, trying to find out what these interceptions are that you speak of.

Last pre season game for us tonight against the Jets, will be good to see how the fringe players fair.

pauldrulez 03-09-2009 10:35 PM

Same.

I think for the 6th straight year we play the Giants. 3 out of our 4 are against NFC Least teams. 2-0 against them so far :p

And FWIW, NFC North is better than the East this year.

But anyway, i'm just hoping that the players that play don't get hurt as always. And that the ones I like make the team of course :p

1-3, possibly.

1-4, no way. The Lions weaken any argument the NFC North has for that crown.

pauldrulez 03-09-2009 10:56 PM

Fair point.

But the other 3 better than top 3 in East.

I'd say that East could only get 1 playoff spot this year. Especially with teams like Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Seahawks, Cards, Niners and the 3 North teams. Tough, Tough conference.

Swanny32 03-09-2009 11:04 PM

As long as we are the one team that get that playoff spot I couldn't give a monkeys how many places the NFL Beast gets.

Lots of people talking on various NFL forums about Bradys shoulder injury possibly being worse than they are making out. As long as he is still fit or gets fit for Wembley then I don't care, I don't like the bloke but will be great to see him play.

pauldrulez 03-09-2009 11:21 PM

He's fine.

No team cuts their primary backup from the system if their main QB has been hurt.

Last year, he was hurt coming into the season. Missed the entire pre-season and pretty much all of Training Camp. Fair point, he got hurt against the Chiefs ;), but he was typical Brady until that point.

He's been back at Practice zinging the ball around. I'm more worried about injuries to Welker and our backup slot machine Edelman. Moss and Galloway is alright, but you have to have the inside guy as well to pick up the underneath routes.

Ah well, this time round. No Brady, No anything. No backup system guys coming through this time.
