The panthers owner was insistent that the team were to be the Carolina panthers and not the charlotte panthers, presumably to appeal to a larger demographic. The logo is actually in the shape of the two Carolina states together if you look closely.

Very disappointing pre season and we badly need some injuries to clear up. Another great game by Goodson though. They showed an interview with him during the game and he said that when he was drafted by the panthers last year, he went on the Internet 'to see who they had'. We have a few sides sniffing around AJ Feeley, a lot of talk of trading him and Kevin Curtis to the Broncos for Marshall. Probably just speculation.

No chance that that deal happens.

a) No need for a spoilt twat like Marshall.

b) The value of 2 players that will probably be cut does not equal Marshall.

c) They don't need another backup. They have Orton, Simms and my personal favourite Tom Brandstater.

My guy Terrence Nunn (out of football for a year and all that) was one of the last cuts made by the Patriots.

He'll make his way to the Practice Squad for sure. Unless picked up by a team. (The Jets??? or maybe the Phins?) He was very good on Thursday and I thought he found his way onto the 53. But unfortunately it didn't happen.

Quite happy with what the Redskins have done

The two fellas I was cheering on made the Redskins roster - Wide receiver Marko Mitchell, a 7th round pick, and offensive tackle Mike Williams (who was out of the game for two years and lost 100lbs in weight this summer in a comeback bid)

Interestingly, we've only gone for two QBs (Campbell and Todd Collins) and four running backs (Portis, Betts, Cartwright and Marcus Mason, who's been on the Skins and Ravens practice squads the past 2-seasons)

So in the unlikely event of Campbell and Collins getting hurt in the same game, Randle El would come in at QB :eek: :)
