I mentioned Britt on the Fantasy thread. He'll make a few mistakes, but he and Nicks look better than the WR's drafted ahead of them. (Harvin depends on what roles we see him in, Crabs needs to report, DH-B enough said and Maclin looks good as well)

And Strathers. My name on there is @patriotscpfc. Get it right ;)

I've said it before, i'll say it again.

How can you concentrate on the game when all you're worried about is tweeting.

If I was a Bengal, i'd be pissed.

As an outsider. I'm intrigued. And the Bengals game will probably be the one I choose on GamePass

Unusual position to be in as a Redskins fan today - some 'experts' including the Sheff are predicting a Washington win in the Meadowlands Sunday

Kiss of death that :)

Manning looked sharp in the pre-seasoner against the Panthers, but there's a bit of concern about the inexperience of the remaining receivers not to have shot themselves. Their running game was strong though.

Not seen anything of the Redskins, but we're hoping to take my stepson to DC for the game against the Eagles, who he inexplicably supports.

I think it will depend on how Campbell plays.

If he is the Campbell that passed through the Patriots secondary, releasing the ball early and accurately then they'll win.

But if the Giants D-Line gets going and Campbell waits a second too long each time. It'll be a long night for the Skins.

I'm sure it doesn't take a lot of effort to post on Twitter to be fair ... What do you expect him to do, read the rule book inside out in his spare time?

pauldrulez 12-09-2009 11:53 AM

I'm talking about during the game.

Not allowed to tweet 90 mins before or after the game.

He is working out how to tweet during the game. Either through communicating to someone to tweet a message or doing it himself.

Just watched today's NFL UK programme that air's on Five. Not bad and my first venture on to there for NFL. I see they have the Bears/packers game live on Monday night ..

There seems to be a lot of hype about the Packers this year, anyone agree? And why are they called the cheeseheads?

It was a derogatory term for people from Wisconsin but they've embraced it. They make lots of cheese in Wisconsin.

The Packers defense will be a lot better this season, if the offense remains the same as last season or even improves they'll do very well.

Thanks fella, a number have predicted that they will get to the NFL champ game ... one of interest I saw was against the Falcons.

Well Mrs JM has embraced them now seeing as she is a cheese specialist so some other's on this thread will be upset to hear she has binned her first decision to follow Philly ... :o

pauldrulez 12-09-2009 11:16 PM

They are my pick for NFC Champ game against Saints.

I liked parts of the NFLUK show. But other parts were corny and embarrassing. But, it has it's uses.

jazman 12-09-2009 11:21 PM

Found it a little refreshing from the constant US offerings we have on offer, that was all ...

pauldrulez 13-09-2009 09:19 AM

It wasn't awful like I was partially expecting.

It just sounded really strange hearing English voices talking about American Football. I'm not sure why, but we sound really posh compared to the American voice :D

Anyway.

GAMEDAY :lux: :lux: :lux:

Anyway, as Paul said, it's Gameday. The first of the season for most of us and a day when all the expectation can really be thrown out of the window ... :)

pauldrulez 13-09-2009 12:03 PM

Damn you all for leaving me another day to sit and stew.

Here is my plan for the evening:
6pm: SKY: Minnesota vs Cleveland. Favre's first game.
Laptop: Gamepass: New Orleans vs Detroit. On a rotation with the Jets game and the Miami game. Wish one of them was on at 9.
9pm: Begrudgingly will watch the Giants-Redskins. Seen it too many times and would rather have seen a non-divisional matchup like Sanchez's first game or Philly-Panthers or Broncos-Bungals. But, out of the 3 choices, i'll watch that on Sky and stick the Cards on Gamepass.

Swanny32 13-09-2009 12:05 PM

Right, I'm going to stream the Philly game this evening but want to stream it to my TV downstairs, how and what do I do? Do I need to buy anything fancy?

jazman 13-09-2009 12:06 PM

I'm just going with what the TV can give me this evening ...

pauldrulez 13-09-2009 12:07 PM

I want to know the same. :) But that will be needed for Monday Night.

Swanny32 13-09-2009 12:11 PM

I'm guessing that as long as your tv has a pc input you gust plug a monitor cable straight into that from your desktop/laptop.
