Giants 14-2 will face the Saints in NFC Champ game.

Eagles 9-7 when injuries catch up to them and Westbrook gets hurt again.

Cowboys 8-8. Not enough talent to pull them through. Teams can exploit the weaknesses. Mike Shanahan in 2010?

Redskins 6-10. Portis will win them a few games single-handed when he finally plays like he can. Fat Albert and the D should pull them through sooner rather than later.

1 team from the East makes the playoffs.

2/3 from North.
1/2 from South.

jazman 05-10-2009 04:13 PM

Does this mean I have to support the Pats at Wembley now Paul? :sob: ;)

I do doubt the Cowboys reaching the play offs this year and really do feel that Wade will have to go at the end of the season. I do have a worry that Jason Garrett is being groomed for the job and really don't know if he is up for the job.

jazman 05-10-2009 04:14 PM

And considering most predictions banded around pre-season were for the Packers to play the Falcons in the champ game ... I'll go with what you said Paul, I can't see beyond it right now .. but we all know how a one of game can go before a team reaches the champ game ...

pauldrulez 05-10-2009 04:19 PM

If i'm right, you can chalk up 2 more wins for certain (without looking at schedule)

As you've got the Chiefs and Raiders. :D

That must mean you have the Chargers as well.

Chargers are a team who are the AFC version of the Cowboys, but have the better QB, WRs and a safety that the Cowboys don't.

Rivers>Romo
Barber and LT are about the same.
Sproles and Felix Jones are almost replicas of each other.
Jackson, Chambers, Floyd are superior to Williams, Crayton and Hird? or Austin
Gates=Witten and Manumaleuna=Bennett
O-Lines both decent.
Merriman and Ware. Though Ware has a superior all-round game.
The CBs equal out when you look at the 3 each team has.
Weddle is better than both Cowboys safeties.

Plus on Special Teams, they have Kaeding and Scifres who are better than Folk and ?????

Man, I surprised myself with my memory of the two teams there

Think I went Saints-Packers.

Vikings are a bigger threat than I thought before the season. But when does the 2009 Favre become the late-2008 Favre?

AFC is intriguing. Could be 6 from about 11 that get in the play-offs.

ardeo 05-10-2009 04:32 PM

Maybe Giants will go 13-3 looking at their fixtures rather than guessing: losses to Saints, Eagles and Vikings.

Eagles to go 11-5 by losing 4 against Giants, Cowboys, @ bears, and one other (maybe skins)

Don't see too much to really frighten us, and we may have Westbrook out, but thats nothing new, and McCoy is a very able sub, + the ability to run the wildcat with Vick/ Jackson, its not something i'm worried about.

Fair evaluation there .. Austin is getting more action that Hurd at the moment though ... You didn't mention Flozell Adams though, the defensive player that has been fined all three weeks of the season before yesterday ... :o

Remaining fixtures;
5 Sun, Oct 11 at Kansas City
6 -- bye -- -- --
7 Sun, Oct 25 Atlanta
8 Sun, Nov 1 Seattle
9 Sun, Nov 8 at Philadelphia
10 Sun, Nov 15 at Green Bay
11 Sun, Nov 22 Washington
12 Thu, Nov 26 Oakland
13 Sun, Dec 6 at NY Giants
14 Sun, Dec 13 San Diego
15 Sat, Dec 19 at New Orleans
16 Sun, Dec 27 at Washington
17 Sun, Jan 3 Philadelphia

How did you know we'd have Chargers as well? Forgot we have to go to New Orleans ... they will have probably sewn it up by then anyway ;)

jazman 05-10-2009 04:35 PM

And Paul, AFC is very intrigueing indeed ... so many teams in with a shout I think ...

Lucky guess ;)

Nah, you played Broncos. That means you are playing entire AFC West.

pauldrulez 05-10-2009 05:36 PM

I have Eagles at 6-4 after Week 11. Losing to Giants, @Chargers and @Bears

With Washington, @Atlanta, @Giants, 49ers, Broncos and @Dallas to go.

11-5 is a huge stretch.

ardeo 05-10-2009 06:50 PM

Can't really see us losing to the Chargers (having watched the chargers twice this year and the eagles thrice). Rivers is good, and thats about it at the moment. Also don't see us losing at home to the giants although it'll be close. But seeing as they just beat the Cowboys away not sure why they will beat us.

Anyway, i shouldn't really dispute predictions based on the prediction league results so far :(

How about I meet you halfway at 10-6? Just don't see how we will lose 7 regular season games this season, one more than last season, when McNabb self destructed a bit in the middle of the season, and we are lot better offensively this year, and pretty solid on D.

Blimey, I thought I wore rose tinted specs .... ;) :moo:

Swanny32 05-10-2009 07:23 PM

Who are the Vikings playing tonight?

jazman 05-10-2009 07:31 PM

Packers. How did you not know that after all the build up on Total Access?? :D

elliott 05-10-2009 07:46 PM

Ha. Thats all anyone's talked about for about two weeks.

Just as an aside, anyone coming to The Field of Dreams for the WWE Raw jobby at the beginning of November?

jazman 05-10-2009 07:47 PM

Favre returning to the Packers? It's all they've been on about!

nookiebear 05-10-2009 08:44 PM

The NFC East teams have very fortunate schedules this season. Lots of awful teams

Giants are very impressive, the receivers are delivering.

Eagles. How long is Donovan out for? A lot of talent but I think 9&7 at best

Dallas. On the slide, 7&9. That 'America's Teaml tag seems to give them a pass in so many people's eyes

Redskins. Plenty of talent ruined by awful draft policy and attempts to fit square offense in round hole. Owner publicly trying to shift starting QB not good. 6&10 and Shanahan in for next season. Other rumour is Dungy and Vick. Not keen on that but if the dog killer comes with Dungy, I will give him a chance.

Dallas and Washington would walk the West if in that division.
