Redskins 6-10. Portis will win them a few games single-handed when he finally plays like he can. Fat Albert and the D should pull them through sooner rather than later.

1 team from the East makes the playoffs.

2/3 from North.
1/2 from South.

NFL gameday.

Rich Eisen: Touchdown Pass caught by MICHAEL CRAB oh wait, Josh Morgan with the Td catch.

:lux:

And it looks like Mr. Crabs is on his way to San Fran right
now.

I'd tell him where to go.

I call it how I see it.

That defense is not good enough and neither is the O-Line right now. Nowhere close to the Giants.

Packers will make playoffs as will Vikes. You are in a shootout with Bears, Falcons, Cowboys and Cardinals for one place.

"If the Giants have to play the rest of the season with David Carr, they might as well just try to lose their last 12 games. The Giants should just get a vacuum cleaner with a super-long extension cord, throw a David Carr jersey on it, then turn it on at the snap of the ball. It'll spaz around in the backfield for a few seconds, then get sacked. Same thing Carr would do, only you'd save a ton of cash on salary."

So Farve will have now beaten every team in the NFL... kind of an obscure record that probably will take some equaling.

oz_da II 06-10-2009 05:49 AM

Well that stunk. Thought Rodgers had a great game. The difference between the two teams was probably the offensive lines.

Annoyed, Mrs JM out last night. So I got the kids to bed and sat down to watch NFL Gameday on the planner. I was disgusted to find that I obviously hadn't zapped it, without the option of series linking it ... Luckily it was on at 10pm but didn't have the chance to watch it then .. :sob:

Rich Eisen = legend :p

Mike Wilbon on the biased officiating in the Pats vs Ravens game:

'The league has decided to protect certain quarterbacks, and it's disgusting. If you don't want to get hit, play golf. This is football.'

oz_da II 06-10-2009 09:02 AM

Wilbon speaketh the truth.

elliott 06-10-2009 09:07 AM

indeed.

Presumably people have seen the Ray Lewis video on the subject. He's wearing a hat.

Oh, and don't worry. When JT and J-Peezey get a chance at Brady it'll happen big style. Brady's scared of those two!

Benzhiyi 06-10-2009 11:57 AM

Good spot, Scott Pianowski:

'You probably saw Josh Morgan's(notes) touchdown and the other one that got away (he dropped a perfectly-thrown Shaun Hill(notes) bomb), but there's a less prominent Morgan moment that I can't seem to forget. Vernon Davis(notes) scored a second-half TD for the Niners, a spectacular catch, and on the play you can see Morgan in the foreground, stopping his route and showing no emotion as his teammate scores and the officials make the signal. Maybe body language tends to be overrated, but that's not the kind of guy I want in my huddle.'

I was at the Vikings Packers game last night. What a game. Great atmosphere, watched history being made and it is good to finally see the Vikes with a decent QB. I have the feeling we are going all the way this season. 16-0 with a Superbowl win :)

:hi: fella, it's been a while ...

Good stuff, glad you enjoyed ... interesting to have a Vike on here ... first one I think ... You're not the guy who bought the Favre shirt and then it was decided he wouldn't be signing? :D And then he did of course ... :o

Can always rely on the Raiders to make you feel better about your own team

From yahoo news:

In addition to enduring yet another difficult loss, the Oakland Raiders are bracing for the possibility that coach Tom Cable could be arrested soon in relation to an alleged assault on an assistant coach. Criminal charges against Cable could lead to a suspension by the league.

jazman 06-10-2009 12:41 PM

Rumour has it that the Cowboys have problems in the locker room ... can't blame TO this season ...

It was amusing to hear that the guy that he alledgedly hit was meeting players secretly in car parks to go through plays and the like ... isn't that called something else? :o

I don't suppose the Pats are due to play Pittsburgh or Seattle as well this season are they? I'd hate to be Brady against eitehr of those two D-Lines on their day either.

This is exactly why I had no sympathy for Brady last year when he went down. He thinks (knows) he's untouchable! Ravens impressed me the other night and didn't get what they deserved.
