Ageists.
Anyway. Randy Moss diagnosed with a Separated shoulder. Has been playing with it since the Wembley game. Some of you may remember him jogging off after a hit. |

Was actually decent, especially towards the end where they started to really play to win (sort of!). Love listening to the mic'ed players! |
Love listening them not having a clue about the offense at times.
Roddy White: What was it again? Rodgers: Quick Out, Quick Out. :D |
Interesting... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playof...ohn&id=4846432 but I disagree. Swann's catch in Super Bowl X the best play for me.

Something that I was discussing with friends today: it's strange how NFL crowds don't celebrate a TD in the same way a football crowd celebrates a goal. Or indeed how different the chanting is. It's not just NFL crowds I guess, it's the same in rugby (union, anyway) after a try. Or baseball after a homer.

My favourite Superbowl play (Avoiding the 3 obvious ones) was Superbowl XXXIV. Defensive stop. One yard short. The gap between ecstacy and despair.
As for Crowds, I think there are different types of crowds for me. There are less goals than points. But, there is no better noise than on 3rd down when the crowd are creating the loudest noise they can to put off the oppo QB. Hell, we even managed it in Saints/Chargers at Wembley. Pissy Philip Rivers after he couldn't communicate on 3rd down, delay of game and Rivers spiked the ball he was so mad :lux: |

I know it's not a completely fair comparison, but I would say the Cardiff final whistle video is akin to a goal being scored in a fairly important game.

Shiver down spine when watching that cardiff play off final video

Peyton Manning:
http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/story?i...ampaign=nfl_fb Both the videos on that link are cool, but the second one in particular is amazing, as Manning and Saturday go head to head. |

Great memories. I hope there are many more to come. |
Guess what's happening at media day? Drew Brees talking about walloping IU while he was at Purdue. Boiler up!
|
Anyone seen the pics of Favre's legs after the NFC Championship game. This is some heavy bruising:

Enjoyed watching some Media Day online before I left for Palace.
Ocho Cinco has got players there working for OCNN, Great stuff watching Cooley and Rice asking questions. Oh yeah. Wembley 3 times this year? FA Cup, Playoffs and NFL. OH YEAH! :lux: |
Go Saints!

What a shocking article. It starts badly, claiming mot fans don't know how the NFL is run and then explains the basics of the revenue sharing. The Beeb might want to assume Yanks are all stupid but I have never met a football fan who didn't know the financial side inside out, and can even tell you about player's contracts inside and out. I'd like to see that numpty at the Beeb explain how bonuses are allocated to the salary cap each year! |
Sorry been a bit quiet since the Palace Administration and coupled with a uni exam I had other things on.....but this weekend should be immense. I missed the pro bowl as I had my exam on Tuesday and couldn't take staying up ill god knows when!
Who's everyones money on then?? |
