He goes by the name Pacman Jones.

Electric returner, above average cornerback although his mind wanders at times, should be a big hit in Dallas if he stays out of trouble. Which is unlikely given his past record, but possible now that he has a new start.

Brandon Jacobs is going to have an awesome season

RDSdaEAGLE 06-09-2008 01:21 AM

I've just watched some NFL Films on their website. Nice, 17 to 20 minute summaries of last season's big games, and features such as Player Sounds, where the mike up players and listen to them pre, during and post-game.

It's been a good afternoon :D

Good summary of Adam "Pacman" Jones. Apparently the "Pacman" is in his past and he wants to be just Adam Jones from now on. At least he isn't Pacman Ocho Cinco.

He couldn't pull it off, unless he was robbing a Mexican bank

He could do it in cohoots with your avatar - he looks like a likely lad...

If this can be bet on then do it but I cant find odds.

The average guard that was drafted too early in the 08 draft, Branden Albert, is playing at Left Tackle in his debut for the Chiefs, right.

Against him are Richard Seymour and Adalius Thomas, two of the best and most experienced players. Albert may survive the match but Coyle will be broken in half IMHO, at least 6 sacks if the First Defense play the whole match. Not that they will be on the field long :D

saxoneagle 06-09-2008 03:43 PM

I think you should stop making predictions on Pats games Paul before you start looking silly again.

pauldrulez 06-09-2008 03:51 PM

I will but that one is too easy to pass up on.

Rob, once the season gets going this will be on ESPN a lot. Most of it old game, but it's really good stuff. I wish other sports would have an "NFL Films" for them. It's normally really good stuff. Mix in the Films music... and I get goosebumps.

Sorry to sound patronising, but...

I'm guessing you don't know much about Albert, or why the left tackle position is very different to the rest of the offensive line.

His size and footwork meant he always projected at LT, regardless of where he my have played in college.

He'll find Sunday tough but he has all the attributes to become a very good player, so it's way too soon to say he was drafted too early. If anything the Chiefs may have got a bargain to play in the most important position on the defensive line.

For further reading I direct you to the book The Blind Side by Michael Lewis.

No more posting on this thread until you've finished it. ;)

I think Albert will turn out pretty good...

jazman 06-09-2008 10:00 PM

Thanks for the comments on Adam Jones... read up on him last night. We seem to have the secret to trouble players what with TO now doing the business, hopefully this one will turn out good as well ... Jerry Jones throwing his money at it again in the hope of getting the trophy to the new stadium next year ....

By the way, in prep for the new season hired out Madden08 on the PSP and been on it since it arrived pretty much. An awesome game!

saxoneagle 06-09-2008 10:18 PM

I think TO has even said he'll be a role model for Jones... great

saxoneagle 06-09-2008 10:18 PM

Saturdays suck - I just spend the day waiting for Sunday to come. I can't wait until I live in Colorado when NFL starts at 11am on a Sunday :D

Chester 06-09-2008 10:23 PM

How can you say saturdays suck when the college season has started!

In all honesty, in your first match, to go up against Seymour and Thomas is going to be difficult, Albert shot up the draft board due to some big figures in the Combine (or a private workout). When I first started checking the drafts (after 2 weeks of Superbowl mourning), he was in the 2nd round, by the time of the draft, some saw him going to the Patriots at 7, so getting him at 15 was a good steal for the Chiefs there. In all honesty, I only noticed he was playing LT when I was listening to a Patriots Podcast, and the presenters were talking about Croyle being smashed due to Albert being a big reach in the draft and struggling to adapt. I thought this was bias until the NYG guy on the show said he thought he was the worst player taken in the first round:eek:.In the future he may become very good in the NFL, but in a team of 10 Rookies, its going to be a hard game defending the oncoming rush of Patriots who have been sitting there stewing for the past 7 months. But, as saxon said, no-more predictions from me for tomorrow, anyone that wants to watch their teams game online, I know where most of these games are on, and can tell you, but its up to Ben whether I can post the link.

Why dont they put more Saturday matches on, it allows more matches for TV and for drinking purposes, Sundays are harder :D

pauldrulez 06-09-2008 10:31 PM

Also, on Total Access, they were just talking about Kevin Everett and an award he will be receiving tomorrow before the match. Showed his Mum, wife and him talking about it. He was asked if he expected it to happen and he said no, you do it millions of times and it doesnt happen. Also saying that he was laying there, knew he was paralysed but just waiting for them to get to him and take him to hospital.

SSXtra now, NFL:Americas Game 1995 Cowboys.

Yeah, made me chuckle as well. Although, if only Jones takes a tip and calms down some kinda like TO has ... just not to the extent of showing an emotional side ...

Read today that the Cowboys training camp has been shown on TV in the US as a reality series ....

Benzhiyi 06-09-2008 10:59 PM

You finished that book I recommended real quick, Paul. ;) :o
