As a Hampshire supporter I can’t explain how Hampshire can be so inconsistent too at times. T20 very disappointing and some hefty losses in CC too. Be interesting to see effect of weather on day 4.

I am sure our night-watchman Virdi will bat out the day tomorrow.

By the looks of things you will only need about 30 mins of good weather :sob:

Surrey have become a money making machine.

Cricket is secondary.

Yep, no wonder the other counties can’t stand them

What's happened with Stoneman? The first season he joined us he batted so well that he got himself into the England team.

Nowadays it's like playing "Owzat" with him. Every ball he has a 1 in 6 chance of being out

We sent him to Yorkshire for the 20/20 blast matches

So we clearly don't want him here so why not try and play a youngster.

Well Amla and Patel have done a fantastic stonewall defence job so far - hats off to them!

Palace Dan 07-07-2021 01:53 PM

It's blowy and overcast here - thought would make bowling easy and batting tricky....

Palace Dan 07-07-2021 05:26 PM

Amla really grinding out a draw - fair play Hashim! Well done... 30 overs for Hampshire to push for a win or Surrey to hold out....

Palace Dan 07-07-2021 05:27 PM

....ooooh! 6 down....

Wolfnipplechips 07-07-2021 05:29 PM

Stoneman has had enough and is opening the batting for Yorkshire whilst his mates are still trying to dig the club out of the hole he helped create.

Wolfnipplechips 07-07-2021 05:34 PM

And he’s already doubled his score from his two innings at the Rose bowl…

2*

Wolfnipplechips 07-07-2021 05:39 PM

Gone for two. Absolute dross. Pisshole shot. This bloke is stealing a living.

Palace Dan 07-07-2021 06:17 PM

...7....

Palace Dan 07-07-2021 06:18 PM

Will Jacks bat?? Poor chap retired hurt in 1st innings

Palace Dan 07-07-2021 06:19 PM

Amla 30 off 224 balls is total class in the situation

He’s been substituted by Geddes when he was called up by England.

Ah thx for that. What a defensive performance led by Amla. Surrey deserve the draw if they can hang on. Hoping Hampshire can finish the innings off tho!
