If they wanted a linebacker Bowman went 5 later. Strange pick for me. DE was probably the position we least needed to fill at this stage.

Still hoping we get Edds in the 4th to compete at SAM as Fokou is tat. OL needs improving along with the secondary, WR and QB. We may well use some of the picks to trade for a couple of veterans.

Last guy in the GreenRoom just picked by Cincy.

Brandon Ghee, CB out of Wake Forest. Decent pick to go with Leon Hall and Jonathan Joseph.

2 more picks. Determined to see this out.

Brandon Ghee would've been a good fit with the Eagles. Sigh.

Bet Griffen, Campbell & Wootton didn't think they'd be waiting until Saturday to get drafted!

saxoneagle 24-04-2010 03:13 AM

Shipley and McCoy - friends since childhood, do everything together, almost inseperable at school and college... and they even stick together in the draft :p

Love it.

2 firsts and 2 seconds.

That could be a huge lose situation, too.

If there is no football next year, there will probably still be a draft. No-one will want first round picks and first round salaries to pay with no gate income.

SteveyHawking 24-04-2010 03:15 AM

Rounds 2 & 3 done!

Had to do a double-take when I saw who the Fins got in the third round. JJ, not JT. :D

Think I'd give the Browns a solid grade so far. Haden, Hardesty & McCoy are great picks IMHO.

It's a very true point.

There will be a draft though. In all likeliness, there will be a rookie cap in place as they almost got it in place for this year.

There are some real stud receivers next year.

I really don't get our 3rd pick, whatever his name is. After taking Graham in the first round we didn't really have a massive need for a defensive end andyhere were some much better prospects on the board still. The NFL wap website doesn't rate the guy at all and said something along the lines of him not being good enough for the next step. We have made a bit of a boo boo if you ask me.

ardeo 24-04-2010 10:02 AM

Not particuarly pleased with it, but in Andy we trust.

Be interested to see what we do with the rest of our picks, can't see how we will keep hold of them all. Maybe we'll trade for a player or for some picks next year.

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:20 AM

He's a passrusher.

I'm not entirely sure what Reid has succeeded in doing by continually trading down though. 4 4th round picks but still he's only got the 3 early picks like everyone else.

I think Bill is the best at moving around the draft and setting the team up for future years. Best Player Available at #27, then filled the 4 needs in Round 2 and 3. Then trades pick #89 to get a pick somewhere between #33 and #64 next year. He does amaze me at times.

Swanny32 24-04-2010 10:29 AM

Watched a couple vids of him on YouTube and he seems ok but you ant tell from them really, the point for me is that we had other positions that needed looking at first.

Swanny32 24-04-2010 10:32 AM

I suppose the good thing is that apparently it's an unusually deep draft this year in terms of true talent, Clausen going so late is probably testiment to that, so hopefully with 3 very close and early picks in round 4 we can fill some gaps in our roster with some decent players.

Swanny32 24-04-2010 10:33 AM

Brady was picked in round 6, need i say more?

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:41 AM

Edelman - Round 7 last year. Cassel was Round 7. I like getting a couple of steals in the late rounds thankfully.

We still have picks #113, 150, 205, 229, 231, 247, 248, 250. Gotta think a few of those are moved into 2011.

Strathclyde Eagle 24-04-2010 11:24 AM

I'm still interested to see where Myron Rolle goes today (if anywhere). Smart guy, hope he's successful (usual criteria - not for anyone else in the AFC East).
