I heard that we were about to resign Flozell

Swanny32 28-04-2010 09:59 PM

Good for us lot going to Wembley! Seeing the Broncos QB, whoever that may be, gett chased around the field by the niners line could make for some entertaining football!

pauldrulez 28-04-2010 10:10 PM

The last 2 years, the QBs have barely been touched (well, Josh Johnson took a couple of hits, Brady got one sack, but Brees and Rivers weren't touched all night). I'd like to see Dumervil get after Smith, but the Niners have stepped up the line with Williams and Iupati.

Swanny32 28-04-2010 10:15 PM

Iupati is hench, great pick from the niners.

Some great players in town this year, it's only now i've started thinking about the game that i've realised both these teams have got some studs in their teams.

SanFran: Crab(money)tree, Gore, Vernon Davis, Willis, Aubrayo Franklin.

Denver: Champ Bailey, Dumervil, Dawkins. Well, they have a decent Defense anyway :D. There's always Tebow, Moreno and some other young players on offense as well.

Studs Paul? You are gay aren't you? I thought I saw you on stage in Precsilla Queen of the Dessert earlier in the week in the West End ... :o

I wondered where they had got to!

Ronnie Brown and Buckhalter for LT and Cotchery?

Worked out pretty well for me, was unfortunate for Ben that Brown got injured

Westbrook to the rams by the looks of it! Good pick up for them if he agrees terms.

jazman 29-04-2010 09:43 AM

Will help out Steven Jackson that's for sure ...

With the draft and free agency, teams have obviously been looking to improve and it seems that most have done that.

Interestingly though, who do people think are going to be worse this year than they were last year?

Steelers, Eagles, Cardinals are the ones that jump out at me due to QB issues. Pats without Welker as well.

What does everyone else think?

oz_da II 29-04-2010 10:01 AM

Value for money... :clown:

Raider QB JaMarcus Russell has been paid more than $5 million per win, more than $2 million per touchdown pass and more than $100,000 per completion.

Agree with those three, I'd be tempted to say the Jags as well as they didn't address their need for a QB and with the Skins, Lions and Rams all having good drafts and trades this off season I can really see the Jags getting number 1 pick in the 2011 draft.

As for us, I think some people will be very surprised. I have faith in Kolb and if you look at it that's the only real concern albeit a small one if you ask me.

ardeo 29-04-2010 11:37 AM

I think you look at who we started with last year - McNabb, Westbrook and Brown at CB, and this year we have Kolb, McCoy and Hobbs, and the fact we haven't really improved greatly anywhere else, we won't be doing so good. Although we might surprise some people, it would indeed be a surprise if we have a good season, rather than an expectation like last year.

jazman 29-04-2010 12:00 PM

I'm with Ardeo ;) :o

Kolb is good enough,
McCoy has good back up in Bell
Hobbs is a potential concern but didn't he start every game in the Patriots unbeaten season?
Oh and our pass rush this year is going to be immense!
