I demand a replay. I also demand that in the replay Heath Miller scores the first TD so that my $10 @ 12/1 doesn't go wasted.

Thanks.

pauldrulez 05-02-2009 07:34 PM

I wanted James Harrison MVP @ 12/1

What more do you want him to do?

He almost died running 100 yards for the longest TD ever.

Useless officials.

I had to approve the TD otherwise I would have a bad dream about Polamalu killing me with his hair.

I just had a weird thought. I've played one American Football match ever and was QB despite my inability to throw deep (cough Cassel). I almost shit myself when I had a blitz thrown at me with about 8/9 of them coming towards me.

Imagine you are the QB for the Lions with their awful OL. You take the ball from under center, drop back and you see Harrison, Woodley, Farrior and Polamalu coming at you.

If you get that pass away without dying, you deserve the money you get paid.

If you are a Lions QB, you run out the back of the endzone :D

Cancelled this year according to PTI last week. Wilbon offered to host it in his hotel room in Tampa. :D

BTW all these pictures of Santonio Holmes' feet and none of his hands at the same time? Shurely shome mishtake?

Holmes MVP this year, Ward MVP last year, I think Lynn Swann deserves a belated MVP for 33 years ago. Especially as he took part in the America's Game series and Bradshaw didn't.

Wrong MVPs do my head in (and I'm not saying that Holmes and Ward didn't deserve their's, I just think that Swann's performance in SB X was better than each of them.)

Fair point. :D

I still love watching that video.

What a prat.

I read a letter on either NFL.com or a Detriot website asking if Orlovsky should be retained next year as a starter rather than bringing someone in.

Why? He's awful.

Give him the best O-Line in history and he screws up.

Ooh, this reminds me. Jon Kitna's prediction of 10 wins. Didn't come through for him AGAIN. How many years has he said it for now ;)

I think he means in his career.

I have questions for everyone about the 08 season about now and the future.

What is your teams favourite play?

The best play of the season?

League(not team) Moment of the season?
Team MVP?

League MVP?

Superbowl 44 winner?

Runner-up?

Most improvement in a team in 09?

Just interested to see the differences between supporters of different teams.

Probably.

He managed to get IR'ed by the Lions. How embarrassing :D :clown:

What is your teams favourite play?
Matt Cassel to Randy Moss with 0 on the clock vs the Jets. Unbelievable throw and catch on 4th and 8 to take the game to OT.

The best play of the season?
Apart from the SB catch, the Wildcat formation vs the Patriots. The passing TD from Brown ripped the hearts out of every Patriot.

League(not team) Moment of the season?
Brady goes down. ;) It took this moment to bring parity (bar Detroit) to the NFL. But my other moment is Boldin being knocked out vs Jets.

Team MVP?
3-way tie: Wes Welker/Matt Cassel/Stephen Gostkowski

League MVP?
James Harrison

Superbowl 44 winner?
New England Patriots

Runner-up?
Detro.... Minnesota Vikings

Most improvement in a team in 09?
Kansas City Chiefs

saxoneagle 05-02-2009 08:32 PM

What is your teams favourite play?
Still the sack on Favre at GIANT'S STADIUM

The best play of the season?
Harrison's run back - biggest game of the season, longest play ever in a Superbowl. No contest.

League(not team) Moment of the season?
Not particularly a good moment, but the league's insistence on handing out fines which were not only stupid, but also disproportionate to the offence commited.

Team MVP?
Welker

League MVP?
Ed Reed

Superbowl 44 winner?
Atlanta Falcons

Runner-up?
San Diego Chokers

Most improvement in a team in 09?

Lions can't get worse, can they.

I was actually going to put the Chiefs, too. And Oakland. And the 49ers. But plumped for the obvious :D

pauldrulez 05-02-2009 08:42 PM

I was very tempted to put Broncos in most improved, but I think with some good changes, the Chiefs can make a run at their division.

I think the Chokers are in trouble.

Gotta agree with the fines being handed out for ridiculous things. As well as the AD sack.

The Falcons are an interesting choice and Reed is up there as well.

saxoneagle 05-02-2009 08:47 PM

I picked the Chiefs last year as a more improved team so I'll just claim I meant on a two year programme ;)

pauldrulez 05-02-2009 08:49 PM

Thats my excuse if they fail next year ;)

pauldrulez 05-02-2009 08:53 PM

I wanted to get the Thomas sack of Favre from Youtube.

But the NFL removed it :(

saxoneagle 05-02-2009 08:54 PM

All copies of this broadcast are the... etc, etc... NFL nazis :D

pauldrulez 05-02-2009 08:55 PM

Will settle for this...

Shock horror, Brady can walk.

Not really put that here because of that, but look at the matching outfits.

Tom, sort yourself out. He's looked like a wimp the last few weeks with feeding Gisele food, making a scene etc etc.

The outfits make him look like a erm, ginger beer.

I'll let him off because he grabbed himself 2 babes for Number 199.

What is your teams favourite play?
Very difficult call if I'm honest as there have not been an awful lot to shout about, but I would say the number of sacks handed out by DeMarcus Ware this season is certainly something worth mentioning.

The best play of the season?
The Wildcat has been a breath of fresh air this season. But I love big hits in this game. And there have been so many this season. The one that Boldin was on the end of was up there but so was the Clark hit in the Steelers/Ravens match. Ouch! Are they cosidered plays? Anyway, I'm going to go with Sax on this one and say the Harrison INT return beats them all into touch.

League(not team) Moment of the season?
The ridiculous penalties for celebrations are ruining the fun of scoring a TD

Team MVP?
Ware/Whitten

League MVP?
Larry Fitzgerald

Superbowl 44 winner?
New Orleans Saints

Runner-up?
Miami Dolphins

Most improvement in a team in 09?
Oakland Raiders
