My comparison to football in this country was a loose, the best I could come up with but you got my drift ...

Yeah.

It's tough to predict, just a bit of fun. Bit like the Picks threads we do.

Far too much for me to get involved in to be fair. My interest begins when the fantasy football thread starts to get busy ...

AddiscombeEagle 06-04-2010 10:47 PM

Agreed, can't wait for the fantasy football to start again.

Swanny32 06-04-2010 10:51 PM

Where is Haynesworth off too then lads?

pauldrulez 06-04-2010 11:12 PM

I wonder what they want for him in a deal.

Detroit have splashed the cash so far and he'd slot straight into their system. If they could get him for a 2nd, they should do it.

And it's a sure sign when a man has too much money. Snyder paid Haynesworth $21m just to make him back into a tradeable asset.

Got Carolina and the Saints right, Gonna say I drew on Houston.

:p

If it weren't for some missed Field Goals and whacky play calling, they'd have been 12-4.

I picked Patriots to beat Saints before the season. Saints to beat Patriots during the season.

I'll call it a score draw.

saxoneagle 06-04-2010 11:43 PM

If you predict both teams to win in the NFL, you'll always get it half right :clown:

Funk Butter 06-04-2010 11:57 PM

Sorry, that was my preseason picks when somebody posted Super Bowl odds. I think the Saints were at 25-1.

Don't fancy us at elevens with our road trips ...

pauldrulez 07-04-2010 12:15 AM

Depending on who they draft (OL wise), i'd be very tempted by the Packers.

They've got the QB. They've got their RB. They've got 2 top level WRs and a very good #3 and #4 in Nelson and Jones.
Their D was very good last year.

If they can keep Rodgers healthy and off the ground, they're my pick for it all.

Denver @ 40/1... if McDaniels and Quinn work well together, they'll be in the playoffs IMO. Don't see it with Orton.

pauldrulez 07-04-2010 12:16 AM

Value-wise, the Lions at 200/1 is good odds :D

If they were in the NFC West, they'd win that division next year.

I think they had a pick before that. ESPN had a camera in their 'war room', waiting for the big moment, and the whole Cowboys staff just sat there and let their pick timeout.

Tactically though, apparently they weren't acting like incompetent fools. Unlike the players as the season drew to a close.

ardeo 07-04-2010 08:42 AM

Packers, Ravens and Bengals all look pretty good value.

Chargers and Eagles are too short

pauldrulez 07-04-2010 11:38 AM

I think the Bears look short as well.

Bengals could blow up again this year.
