I see the NFL sent the Saints personal ref crew to Atlanta.

Fantastic work refs. The NFL version of ManU injury time, let's just let the Saints hold up Turner all night long until somebody can strip the ball.

Funk Butter 30-11-2012 05:32 AM

This is really frustrating. Falcons get a 5th interception but it's called back for a bogus offsides penalty.

Funk Butter 30-11-2012 05:39 AM

I don't know how the Falcons won that. 1 for 10 on 3rd down against the worst defense in the NFL and only 283 yards. Oh wait, maybe it was the 0TDs and 5 INTs by Drew Brees.

Swanny32 30-11-2012 10:26 AM

Looks like Brees had a tough night!! Number 1 seed for the Falcons.

pauldrulez 30-11-2012 11:03 AM

The 5th pick was a thing of beauty.

And Brady now holds the longest streak for TD passes :lux: 3rd longest of all time.

Terrible thing to happen.

What are peoples opinions on the game with us going ahead tomorrow? I think the NFL are in a difficult position to be honest.

jazman 02-12-2012 12:38 AM

I think it's the best possible thing for the players.

This isn't a normal suicide, they need to focus their minds on something else.

JamTheEagle 02-12-2012 03:18 PM

Tips please Steve, as well as recommending another game to watch!

A few games to watch today imo:
In the early games if you like defence then watch Seattle v Chicago where you have two capable offences going against tough, high quality defences.
For lots of points scoring watch Indianapolis v Detroit which could be an absolute bloodbath and end 51-50 or similar.

Late games you have the big rivalry game between Pittsburgh and Baltimore but what with the Ravens being at home and far superior that should be no contest. Instead I'd watch Tampa Bay v Denver - two teams I think are in the second-tier in terms of quality but one has the elite QB who's always worth a watch on his own and has them firing while the other is just outperforming themselves and seemingly (though I havent watched much) playing some great ball.
