:hi:

30th in cap room I believe, without looking.

If only i'd said how much room we had for franchising Cassel....... ;)

How do you define highest paid? Against the Cap or for the player? ;)

Big Ben's contract was $102m over 8 years. Which averages at $12.625m a year.
Manning is ahead of him in cap room, as is Brady.

What will be changing, is Phillip Rivers and Eli Manning's contracts which are both up this year. With Manning likely to be made the most valuable player in football. Rivers wont be far behind though.

Wooo....

After 12 hours hard work, 200 of my 550GB of football film is fully categorised.

Including 36 non NFL/college games and 41 NFL Films videos.

However, I'm only half way through the NFL stuff, and haven't even started the college football stuff.

:D I was drinking my tea when I read that and now I have some clearing up to do ... :o

pauldrulez 16-01-2009 10:23 AM

Now just because i'm consistenly right :hi:

pauldrulez 16-01-2009 10:24 AM

And for what its worth, I think Cassel is an average-good QB working in a great offensive system.

So when we get our picks and he goes off and fails elsewhere. I really wont care :hi:

pauldrulez 16-01-2009 10:25 AM

Oh, and to prove I dont have to be bias.

There will be more Buffalo Bills players from the 90s in the Hall of Fame than those that won 3 Superbowl Rings with the Patriots.

Bigger news that Percy Harvin declared IMHO. He's frightening in the open field, either as a runner or receiver. Maybe not as good a rusher as Peterson, but a greater all-round threat potentially.

Incidentally what I read yesterday about salary caps indicated there is a team salary floor, which is 85% of the cap. How can there be such a disparity between top and bottom if that's in place?

You misunderstand what I meant - it wasn't just a Cassel thing.

Imagine if two thirds of my responses to other people on this thread were "Well, that's a good achivement. Just not as good as when the Miami Dolphins/ Miami O/ Miami D/ Chad Pennington/ Tony Sparano did it."

That's willy waving. :)

Strathclyde Eagle 16-01-2009 12:42 PM

Can we get off the topic of Paul showing us any part of his anatomy? It isn't a picture I really want to think about.

AddiscombeEagle 16-01-2009 12:49 PM

Looks like Suggs is out of Sundays game.

Bad news that.

This makes interesting reading but I'm not certain how accurate the site is with the information. Highest paid as far as I have found is Big Ben of the Steelers ...

Ravens 31st

Eagles a respectable 21st :p
