Rashford. If he has the cheek to appear in the press for non football reasons again he needs to be shot.

Me trying to be helpful post on there that the places closes at 8:00pm and maybe they should call the proprietor and check.

For my trouble I got a curt reply from the group leader/administrator that she is well aware of the closing time and that is plenty of time!

Bunch of self righteous wankers... let them enjoy their hour of talking about nothing but how wonderful Britain is and how much they are homesick.

Absolutely.

Seen a few post here and there (not on this site) already about "great game", "exciting stuff", "best team won" etc., etc..

Like you, I'm not sure what I'll see first... England win a tournament of Palace's new stand gets built.

(I did see the '66 World Cup, but that was kind of the fuse that lit the fire for my football passion)

I think the casual football fan who really only come out of the woodwork to support England are showing their true colours on Facebook.

I hate to say it, but most of them (nay all of them) are women.

Their insipid and puke inducing girly comments are really annoying at this time... I'll get over it.

Don't be silly. Yes, it was a crap penalty, but to talk about him "having the cheek to appear in the press for non football reasons" is just daft. The way he has used his profile to benefit others has been remarkable, and has made a real difference to many people.

By comparison, missing a penalty in a football match (even one as significant as this one) is really of no great consequence. I hope he continues with the excellent work he's been doing, and (in terms of playing for England at least, I can't bring myself to wish anyone well while playing for Man Utd.) comes back stronger on the pitch for the experience he has had

Reps AJ 12-07-2021 09:15 AM

Twitter and similar likes.

For allowing racist and truly offensive comments to be made unchallenged and allowing spread of misinformation like the video of England fans fighting other England fans trying to break through the Wembley gates and claiming it was England fans attacking Italians.

I'm shocked at the attention its getting and people believing it and spreading it onwards to the extent people are calling for England to be banned from future tournaments. And twitter have not challenged this or taken anything down allowing it to spread.

Time these platforms were taking down immediately until they sort their **** out as its causing more divde in society. Its unhealthy.

Ford Ranger pick up trucks being driven by people as a leisure vehicle (as oppose to a work vehicle) - they seem so oversized. A mum drops her two kids off at the local gymnastics group in one and it doesn't fit in a normal parking space and it's so big I think she could mow down a group of the kids and probably not even notice as their heads barely clear the top of the bonnet.

Along the same lines, when I'm riding my bike on a designated bike path and two people are riding side by side coming towards me, and make no effort to either move over or go into single file causing me to move over as we pass I usually shout (not too loud - just in case), "Thanks for letting me get out of your way!"

I find it a wonderful threat to useless staff, especially when I found out that it's an official document and copies of the complaint get a sent to the Ayuntamiento

TBF. It usually just take a bit of time for them to work it out for themselves.

My very local McDonald's now has a proper system in place with separate windows.

I might be one of that rare breed that has never ordered anything by App.

"No thank you," she said, "I'm a feminist".

Since I had been brought up by my parents to always open doors for females, there followed something of a Mexican stand-off ...

Did you marry her?

Young dickheads who feel the need to put some stupid loud exhaust on their cars, when they can only be driven at 25mph max round here.

Not an annoyance but mor of an observation, and related to the travelling around the UK theme. I have caught a couple of episodes of the travel show on BBC World. Both very interesting, one was at the Pembrokeshire coast and the other in Yorkshire starting at Scarborough ( I think). Both shows very interesting, but I was interested in the two hosts.

One was a black guy in a wheelchair and the other a young black woman. Both were more than adequate hosts, and the guy was infectiously social. But, I found it interesting that BBC seemed to be filling its quotas. They even drive around in a modern, electric version of a Hillman.

Companies who think they are so big they can screw their customers.

Samsung owe me £260, my company owe me £150as i was underpaid and to top it off Thames water who now say i owe them £640 for my water for the last 18 months. The thing is for the last twelve years with no change in circumstances it has normally been about £210 for 18 months.Last time six months ago i disputed it with them, they threatened me with a debt collection agency.

And they wonder why people get stressed.

That's unusually narrow-minded of you, Peter.

The guy in the wheelchair interviewed my daughter in the first lockdown when she was filling in for veg pickers in Kent, said he was a nice bloke, that's my claim to fame...

I don't know the girl but the black guy to whom you refer is very good. Are you seriously suggesting he only got this job because he helps to fill black and disabled quotas?

Peter, I know where you are truly coming from on this but unfairly took the opportunity to twist it around. Its only a couple of years since we fell out and although our ideals have changed at a different pace I hope we can nonetheless get back to proper conversation and swapping dodgy websites, as we did, some 20 years ago

Agree with the above. Seen the bloke in the wheel chair, think he is pretty good. A lot better than some of the names that do travel shows. Robson Green I'm looking at you.

No wonder he cant quite get into your clique eh, silly mistake.

EDIT - I apologize to you LF in similar fashion to what I said to Wolfie below. The whole world has moved on in the last 20 years or so, and whilst I am well up to speed with that, such was not evident from my recent postings. Similar considerations to Hong Kong HG, Brighton and the others, although I am sure that I will still be taking you all on over the coming years
