Potentially going to look at Bears v Giants in New York on 20th Nov - flights are £330 return out on the Fri back on the Mon night.

Norwegian are great for a weekend, but they're basically a low cost carrier which are really crap for longhaul. I'd rather pay £50-60 more and get a decent airline, with a baggage allowance and a proper seat!

NFL fans in the UK can now put International Series times in their diaries following the announcement that all three London matchups in 2016 will be early afternoon kickoffs.
As part of last night’s unveiling of the 2016 NFL schedule, the following kickoff times were confirmed:
October 2: Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars, Wembley, 2.30 p.m.
October 23: New York Giants at Los Angeles Rams, Twickenham, 2.30 p.m.
October 30: Washington Redskins at Cincinnati Bengals, Wembley, 1.30 p.m.

As I predicted... Eagles trade for 2nd pick!

pauldrulez 20-04-2016 06:58 PM

And that's a hell of a haul for the Browns for moving 6 picks!

SteveyHawking 20-04-2016 07:56 PM

Goff to the Rams and Wentz to the Eagles then. Bradford on the trade block!

I'm still not convinced that Goff will go 1st. I hope the Eagles are happy to get either one and not counting on Wentz to be there. To say nothing of the fact that there's probably a decent chance both guys will never be as good as Bradford anyway.

Looks like the Browns plan is to try to suck this year, get the #1 pick next year and draft Deshaun Watson.

ben1987 20-04-2016 10:27 PM

It's a good trade for the Browns, providing that RG3 is half decent. Otherwise they are stuck in the same position without a viable quarterback.

ben1987 20-04-2016 10:29 PM

And now Panthers have rescinded franchise tag offer on Norman so he is a free agent.

This has been one hell of an off season!

pauldrulez 20-04-2016 10:31 PM

Browns might get Lynch.

The Norman news is very odd, they obviously think he has no interest in a long term deal. How many contenders have the money available to pick him up? He'd be a game changer if he went to an up and coming team like Jacksonville or Oakland who are rebuilding, or even someone like San Diego

ben1987 20-04-2016 10:36 PM

Jags would be looking a bit scary if they get Norman and then draft someone like Myles Jack or even Tunsil on the O line.

66/1 currently, could be worth a few quod even without Norman.

He's 29 years old and has never proved himself anywhere else than behind Carolina's front seven. Yet he seems to be holding out for some sort of record breaking deal on the back of one season.

Shame to lose such a good player, but apparently his agent and the Panthers were so far apart, it was never going to get anywhere.

Coupled with the fact that he's been a bit of an arrogant twat pre season, probably best to use the resources on someone more motivated and less disruptive

Yep, why deal with a disruptive influence if he's going to hold out. Brave from Gettleman but a fair decision. CB's play drops off after 31-32, look at Revis last year.

Funk Butter 21-04-2016 03:43 AM

Anybody on Paddy wanting a 14% return in a week, put some cash on Jalen Ramsey to be the 1st DB drafted. Over 2.5 QBs seems easy money too, I'm actually starting to think there might be 4 or 5.

oz_da II 21-04-2016 12:22 PM

Really like what the Browns did with the Eagles trade, I'm sure they will find a way to screw it up.

That might be true, but it's not like he can hold out at 29. There is no agent in the world that would suggest that to his client. Maybe threaten to hold out, but Carolina shouldn't have taken that seriously. They could have played this out for a few more months, waited until teams used up more salary cap room, then if he's causing a problem dump him.

Funk Butter 23-04-2016 04:17 AM

So much for Josh Norman being a top tier corner.

Quote:

Josh Norman will be the NFL’s best-paid cornerback after signing a five-year, $75m deal with Washington today that guarantees at least $50m for the former Panthers star.

Panthers offered $44m over 4 years, just to give an idea of how far apart the two sides were.

I feel Norman and the Panthers will come out of this better than Washington!

Appeals court reinstated Brady suspension.

Looking forward to seeing the evidence then, so we can get it done with.

pauldrulez 25-04-2016 04:39 PM

If Brady has done anything (and skimming the appeal, basically the only thing they've said is Goodell can give out a punishment whenever he wants), I want him to retire.

The whole fiasco was enough through last off-season, don't fancy another four months of the same debate in the news.
