Indicators on cars not being uniformly up for left and down for right, or vice versa.

Depends on which side of the wheel they are on, its not rocket science to get it right.

It would seem that about 50% of cars in London suffer from this issue.
Either that, or the drivers are just c*nts.

Wichever side they are on, to indicate you move them in the same direction as you’re turning the steering wheel, it’s totally intuitive to most.

My 6yo son pointed out whilst on the M25 that all the drivers acting like idiots drove BMWs. I'd never thought about it myself.

You are lucky.
9 time out of 10 they don't bother with the doorbell, they either chuck the parcel over the fence or leave their note and piss off.

A very intelligent American I work with was complaining about the turn indicator on the car he rented when in The UK for this reason. Although he did add that he kept turning the wipers on every time he made a turn. I have to admit to having done that also in a rented car.

Replaying with what you really think is rather invigorating!

(Monday might be a problem!) :D

Hedgehog 04-11-2017 02:39 AM

I never want to fly in an aeroplane again unless there is a sandy beach and a tropical drink and a warm sea at the other end.

How can they expect someone who is 6' 2" to sit for 3.5 hours in them seats????

I want to drag the airline (this is not a plane issue) designer and economist (who are apparently 5' 6") down to the plane and make him reduce the whole seating/clearance size by an additional 10% and then make him fly from NY to LA and see how they like it!

tapped

taped would be recorded on cassette.

You always double the p for pronunciation purposes - shopped, stopped.

One vocal and one consonant - double the consonant, generally.

big bigger, swim swimming, shop shopping, run runner etc..

Strangely, does not apply for snow W and it is not often mentioned why.

Probably, knowing is another example with the same sound.

Knowing is not very common because it is a stative verb (emotional verb) and is not often used in present continuous, like love.

Except when Zaha puts the second in against Brighton, and you say..

'I am fecking loving this'

LOL

Or you call an Indian call centre and that say 'I am thinking that..' while moving their head from side to side.

I do not have a clue on the Chemical structure but I do know my office chair and my Bike saddle and brake hoods were my hands go also smell of the detergent, form Gloves and cycle clothing. Its been 12 months since we used a fragranced one and my bike has been, washed and washed and still cannot get shot of it :-(

Size of phones, I need a new one, mainly because I need WiFi calling on EE and all of the ones you can buy sim free that can do it are enormous, more like min tablets than a phone. Add EE as well I got a great deal on Data in Feb, but they won't carry it across to upgrading to a phone. Arseholes

With great difficulty at first. All Bio Detergents have a fragrance, essentially because the enzymes stink. Because people use too much Bio and wash @ 30 degrees they ruin their machine. They are not aware of it as they are used to the smell!

So Non Bio you can buy fragrance free, normally sold as an anti allergy product.

Deodorants you can buy fragrance free chemical one or natural ones. Same with Shampoos but mainly natural.

Seriously if you have been without these fragrances for any period of time you become acutely aware how fragranced some people are, not all some.

There was an interesting thing on the BBC and there is a big movement in America to make offices "fragrance Free" Also their is an argument that fragrance should be treated like passive smoking. My wife and I can smell detergents walking past Houses some of these are laid back off the road 30-50 feet.

What is it with peoples obsession with Fragrance, even a softener that is branded un-Stoppable I mean WTF.

Vendy - have you just had an unfortunate radioactive accident and acquired super-sensitive smell as a superhero skill.

That's a bit unlucky - compared to being able to fly or x-ray vision.

You always double the p for pronunciation purposes - shopped, stopped.

One vocal and one consonant - double the consonant, generally.

big bigger, swim swimming, shop shopping, run runner etc..

Strangely, does not apply for snow W and it is not often mentioned why.

Thanks Peter - this is just one of those things that does not stick for some reason... at 62 I don't think it ever will now!

****ed if I know what caused it, symptoms started 4-5 years ago. I had actually lost my sense of smell for 18 months! Now I can literally smell the rubber from a fork lift tyre. Not a superpower I really want to be honest its a nightmare.

Tests I am about to undergo are for basically an immune system problem that's causes you immune system to start eating away at you small veins. Starting with your sinuses then your throat, kidneys and lungs. Lovely. Plus loads of other tests on Monday for various blood and lymphphatic cancers, and other lovely diseases none of which you would want nor have heard of to be honest. Its why I am on here so much I am ******* living at work!

Oh, ouch. So sorry to hear all of that.

Have they prescribed anything that helps, at least alleviates? The burning away of the small veins sounds very sensitive, especially up the nose.

Nothing stops the swelling I have been on max dose of steroids and still been swollen. They cannot really trial anything as some of the treatments are pretty bad in themselves. What pisses me off is the long list of NHS and Private Dr's I have seen I totted it up if I include all the dentistry getting on for 20k in 3 years, its only really now that I am having some decent tests done.
