And my own self awareness that my current level of technological competence, never more than competent, is somewhat behind the curve.
I blame the ease of windows, and my own ability to waste time on stuff like the BBS, for that. |
It doesn't annoy me, but it is a subject matter discussed earlier in this thread... I'm beginning to see Covid-19 themed adverts on TV over the last few days, i.e. car makers say if you loss your job due to Covid-19 you can return the car. Also ads for cleaning products, and insurance companies making mention of the virus.
|
This is going to sound well snarky but....all these videos on FB (yeah, I know) that I shouldn’t try & home-school my children & it’s fine just to bake cakes & play games for 3 months.
Try to take them out of school at all (I’ve never done it but plenty have done so or at least requested it) & the Authorities can’t get the fines issued quickly enough. |
This too.
I guess I am wrong. Just went to buy a few bits in the local shop, and there was a full on snowflake having a mini nervious breakdown that I had briefly got a little to close. He-s probably been travelling around on packed carriages on the metro for the past week. Wonder what he would be like in the trenches. |
Things that annoy you
Being at work I’m constantly wiping my hands with disinfectant wipes and/or rubbing sanitiser on them. Literally every 15 minutes or so because I am always in contact with a surface that someone may have touched.
Have now developed a duck off rash on the backs of both hands. Think it’s the disinfectant wipes. This annoys me. |

I’ve got an old tv I’m trying to get rid of as I’ve just upgraded.
Some guy in my block children just broke his and got in contact. He’s just asked me 15 different questions on the tv. Mate it’s an old tv I’m giving away for nothing. I don’t give a shit if you have to buy an extension lead as you can’t plug you ******* chrome cast in via USB. Melt. |

Mine does that... it gives you about 10 or so chances to print in black only, then puts a complete stop on printing regardless of the color that is out. |

TV Reporters question time at the daily briifing. What a useless bunch of ferkwads.
Why don't they answer questions from lesser known journalists of journalists from regional TV. Why don't they ask useful, helpful questions. We are all in this together. Sniping or finding the most obscure or stupid questions to ask are not helping. |

And in a similar vein . . if the media believe those of us south of the border really need to hear Nicola Sturgeon repeat verbatim what the PM had just finished saying elsewhere then should we not hear also from Mark Drakeford and Arlene Kelly?

..Trying to work out the scam.. We must have all seen the latest adverts when playing games on our phones. Basically, earn free money while playing free app games. Lots of images of people holding up cheques for quite substantial amounts attributed to playing this game...other images of saying that $50 has just been credited to your paypall account. They generally revolve around a couple of solitaire games and some idle games.
Two of the most common video images are.. 1) a bit of a fat munter looking amazed at her phone, jumping up and down, and then falling to the floor and kissing her dog - as this image is shared across five or six different games, I wonder why she is still so amazed she keeps winning - perhaps it's really a device that tells her that all that jumping up and down means she has lost a couple of kilos. 2) Is a selection of good looking, but airheaded bimbos winning small amounts of 'real' money on solitaire taht amazingly acrues into 100s of dollars. Obviously, it doesn't add up - no-one gives out money for free, unless there is a virus about. But, shouldn't there be some kind of regulation out there to protect the gullible. Has anyone on here been tempted to download one of these game apps? And has anyone on here won any money off of them? |

Always getting emails with offers from a certain bricks and motor retailer. Annoying unto itself.
Finally want to get something from them, but they are not open at this time due to guess what, but you can still order on line. Go to the site and go to log in. Asks for email and password. Enter email address, but ask for a password reminder as I don't recall it. Ask me to enter email address so they can send me reset instructions... fair enough. Then it rejects my email address as not being recognized! Funny how they recognized me to send me all the frigging "special offer" emails. This is actually the second company I have been through this with in the last week. Last time it kept telling me when I went to set up a new account as it didn't recognize my old one, that I couldn't use my email address I was entering because it was already in use.... WTF! |

My credit card company thinking now would be a good time to issue new credit cards with a different account number/security number in the middle of all this.
All to add the "tap and go" technology to the card. Not sure why they had to create new account numbers to do this, or why they didn't wait until some type of normalcy has returned. I can see the need for them, especially in this no touchy-feely environment, but the trouble is very few retailers here have the terminals to be able to use them. |

I haven't moved from my immediate neighbourhood, not been in a car with others, not taken public transport, visited one empty supermarket twice without queueing, not joined a queue at any other premises, used one cash machine, not visited or been visited by friends and family, not visited a restaurant, cafe or bar - even for take out, not expected someone else to deliver anythoing to me (except CT and his promised beers) and had all communication, work and social, by way of phone or laptop If I have been within five metres of 20 people in the last two weeks I would be surprised. The one time I get a tad close for one second, I get a snowflake whining like a wounded sheep. Do I meet your criteria? How do you compare? |

The Coronavirus thread being taken over by the crazies posting whacky stuff. Thought we might manage just one thread that’s broadly sensible without a load of trolling, political or otherwise, but apparently not. Some of the stuff from this evening is beyond weird. Just puts people off posting by the looks of it.

Whilst not taking this epedemic lightly . I really don't want to see people telling us what they are doing while isolated on the news. The Australian government are putting people who arrive from overseas in 4/5 star hotels to isolate. Some people in these places are now moaning about being restricted. Of course in the main it's people my age who have just come off of a cruise they should not have gone on in the first place. This after people with the illness managed to get off of a cruise and just disperse to where ever they live.

But I suspect over indulgence of alcohol while self isolating is not helping. That's my excuse anyway! |

Usually not annoyed by the Royals.
But Harry and Meghan are saying goodbye to the fans... Feck Right Off you pair of cnuts.. How about sticking around for a couple of months, doning some PPE and helping out.. Get a bit more respect that way. All about self promotion... I thought they wanted out of the limelight... no they just don't want to do the duty that comes with the priviledge. What a pair of odious self serving twats. Feck me Harry's Stepdad has got the disease, his Step grandparents are not far off the coffin, and they cant get out quick enough. Global pandemic and hundreds dieing every day in the UK. Yet they are preparing to fly, and move putting at risk scores of people. Can't get flights to pick up tourists abroad...but can find one for these creatures. |

I dont mind the occasional travel vlog but these couples who go onto youtube and expect people to care about what dress the dopey cow is going to wear with her sandals as she rides a vespa around Italy. With a bit of luck she might fall off and get road rash then she will be flashing what kind of bandages she is wearing.
Dont start me of the american guy who does reports on first class seats on planes and lounges and then says these seats were paid for by me.Yeah like @$#£ they were! Apparently he walks around airports asking all the staff do you know who i am.Shame i cant use that swear word on here. |
