No salary cap from 2010 onwards, that could be interesting
Matt Ryan... $72m over 6 years. This for a man that wasnt rated that highly going into the draft and no-one knew where he would go. McFadden and Chris Long are on for some big money here judging on that. |
Hoorah!
I just my email confirming i'm in the first lucky dip for Wembley tickets next Thursday. This is further than I got last year!. |
can someone sum up what's happening with the fantasy?
|
We're doing it this summer I believe.
|
But I don't have to do anything yet?
Getting my post-draft order of jerseys. Although I'm quite angry that there's not many new players jerseys up yet! Bastards. Thought this would finally be my chance to buy a lineman dolphins jersey! http://www.jersey101.com/ has a really good selection! |
Has anyone on here been sent the 'magic' e-mail telling them they can apply for tickets for the Wembley game this year?
http://www.nfluk.com/news-display.php?id=3050 Been wrapped up with moving house these past few weeks and hadn't checked it out until tonight. Seems today (Thu) was the day to be told. Looks like I've missed out on this occasion, despite getting a mention on NFLUK with my suggestion to improve the gameday experience for the 2008 match. Hmph! |

Just one for me.
Covered my bets when I first logged on to NFLUK last year and said I was a Giants fan and fave player LT (I'm wearing my LT shirt as I type, so that bit wasn't bull) hoping that it might sway them to give me first stab if San Diego ever came to town as well as NYG (which last year, of course, worked.) Little did I imagine San Diego would be coming in the very next game. Gotta see the great LT live in action - the man is a star. |
Shouldn't imagine you'll have a problem getting a ticket either for or near face value on eBay mate. I can't see there being the same demand this year.
Did anyone ever find out why some of the seats at Wembley were empty last year? Sensible answer please Grim! ;) |
I didn't get tickets this round. They have had applications for seven times the capacity of Wembley!!!!!!!!
|
I reckon a whole load of those will end up in the hands of touts.
|
I didnt get any either. :(

Basically, those with the money could pay for a lifetime season ticket to any sports event at Wembley under the name of Club Wembley (was it something like £10,000?) but what you get is fat cats who'll turn up for England and Cup Finals but not bother with other stuff inc. NFL. Did you get the e-mail Tony? |
I didn't get the e-mail, probably because I didn't apply. The game last year was the one I really wanted to see, and I said I'd only do as a neutral as part of a big BBS section. Have to pick and choose what I come down for unfortunately.
I thought Club Wembley seats were all in the middle tier? There were definitely some seats spare in the lower tier, at least later on in the game. I've got photos that prove it. My guess was that they were touts' tickets that hadn't been sold, although possibly it was people choosing hospitality over the weather. |
Spare seats in the lower tier were from Dolphin fans realising the inevitable and beating the rush back to the tube.

I need to put the sensible answers please clause in every post in this thread it seems. ;)

:D
Question for all: In your opinion, First TD of the season? By who? Run? Catch? Biggest Bust of the season? Biggest surprise player of the season? and Who will be the first TD scorer for your team and what will it be? |
That sounds like a lot of questions for the betting thread? ;)
|
What?
Anyway: I think Brady to Jackson will be first for the Patriots. Eli will be a bust I think. Surprise will be the 5th rounder at the Patriots. IMO the Hester of this years class. I think his name is Matt Slater. They love him at PFW. Think he is an excellent KR and could possibly take over as a spare WR which is where we are looking a little bit bare but you cant be that bad with Moss and Welker. Whoever I was talking about Dragosovitch the Punter or whatever his name was. At the camp in the past week, he struggled with some of his kicking. One went within 3 yards of the line, the next went 25/30 yards from the line. Inconsistent but a position not really needed and good to have a backup. |
