I think its just down to the Mahomes factor to be honest and because Jimmy G hardly had to throw it against GBP. The 49ers defence should be classed as a terrorist organisation the amount of destruction they cause!

I listen to a lot of podcasts, watch GMFB etc read a lot, the only narrative that I havent been heard peddled is the following.

Cheifs - receive the ball - score on first drive
49ers - get stuffed on 3rd down where Jimmy G is slightly off
Cheifs - get the ball back, good punt return, drive down the field and all of a sudden they are 14-0 up within the 1st Quarter.

All of a sudden, its a very different game

EDIT - Not saying this will happen and i think 49ers are the best team and will probably win, but so much talk has been about how bad the Cheifs D is but in the above scenario, there whole season could be forgotten if they could get one 3 and out and a decent return from Hardman (very capable of doing). Being 14-0 behind against the Cheifs, even with Shanahans play calling I think will be tough as whilst Jimmy Gs throwing has been slept on, he still has thrown 13 picks this year.....

So, on my NFL Fantasy Playoffs final week, I'm gonna need lots of 49er points. I decided to blow thru my KC players two weeks ago on the assumption that the 49ers defense can slow down the Chiefs more than the Titans. The only Chiefs players I got are Watkins and the defense. (I guess some non-Tyreek Hill D/ST TDs from the Chiefs will work too) I'm in 3rd place right now, but it's really hard to see who people have left to pick from without going thru a bunch of clicks for every other entry.

Obviously I'd love the 9ers to win, but my persistent knack of supporting the team that doesn't really do getting finals let alone winning them (Palace and the 9ers), I'm not all that confident.
Having said that I do remember the highs of Montana and Young, ahhh the good old days, but JimmyG is no way in the same league, so if we are going to win tonight it's going to have to be a flawless defensive display and a dominant running game.
