Does make sense.

:D @ Paul ... :o

That is one tough schedule on the road for us next season ..

pauldrulez 31-12-2009 05:22 PM

Add Arizona or San Fran to that road schedule as well.

I can't believe we were given all 4 on the road that year. Joke.

They stayed out there both times.

Fair point, we went 3-1 though. And it was sort of good timing as Cassel was out there when his father died. And he was only an hour or so away rather than 8 hours away.

jazman 31-12-2009 05:44 PM

You say Arizona and the Niners. But the Cards could be in transition with Warner potentially retiring at the end of this season? And the Niners, well, it's anyones guess how they will fair next season after their great start to this current season but dismal afterwards ...

pauldrulez 31-12-2009 05:59 PM

Warner will be gone. Leinart isn't a horrific QB. But it changes the way they play as he is left-handed.

Niners I think they'll be better.

Alex Smith changed the team for the better.

jazman 31-12-2009 06:25 PM

I hear a lot about Leinart from a guy a work with. His daughter and missus live out in Arizona ... (don't ask) and that's his team. His daughter know Leinart and he doesn't have a lot of confidence in him to be honest ... will have something to prove if he does get the job though ...

Strathclyde Eagle 31-12-2009 06:43 PM

Not sure there's a nice way to ask this - did his daughter's picture end up appearing on TMZ?

Who's daughter?

Strathclyde Eagle 31-12-2009 10:35 PM

The guy who's wife and daughter live in Arizona.

jazman 31-12-2009 10:37 PM

TMZ?

pauldrulez 31-12-2009 10:59 PM

Matt Leinart was on TMZ with a girl who may or may not have been underage and was giving her alcohol.

For parity, TheDirty.com (part-owned by a Patriot fan who also runs many stripper outlets in Boston should you be there and need a stripper for a party. http://vipstrippers.com - that's http://vipstrippers.com/ - He is affectionately known as Strippers.) was the site that first broke the news. Big coup for them.

And yes, that is the longest gap between brackets ever.

List of all the free agents that would become restricted.

San Diego, Denver, Miami and Tampa Bay all have some big free agents who would only need to be tendered for a year, though signing in the uncapped year would make it easier. Although with the slight chance of the NFL being locked out in 2011, I wouldn't be signing anyone long-term

jazman 01-01-2010 10:13 AM

Ah, I get what Strathers was on about now ... :D And no, I'm sure he would have told me about that if that was the case ... I think ... :)

Strathclyde Eagle 02-01-2010 10:20 AM

Brees not starting for the Saints in Carolina tomorrow according to Peter King. Makes more sense than playing him for a quarter, then benching him I'd say.

pauldrulez 02-01-2010 10:54 AM

Preparing to get shouted down here, but...

I'm against benching players when you have a Bye Week ahead of you.

There is a reason why teams that sneak into the playoffs often do better than those that have rested players for a lengthy time.

You have to have momentum to get going.

Whoever plays the Colts has got a gift of a game in the first round of the playoffs. They wont have played a proper game in about a month.

However, I personally feel that these Patriots players should not play Sunday. Wilfork, Warren, Brady, Moss, Welker, Mayo, Bodden and one other.

We wont have a Bye Week. Every single one of these players is hurt (or in Welker's case, just needs a break from getting his arse kicked every week)

I think Brees and the Saints starters should play the first half for 2 reasons.
a) They have not played well for a few weeks anyway.
b) They have the Bye week.

Vikings, Eagles, Cowboys, Cardinals. Whoever gets the Bye has the advantage as they have all had to play hard into Week 17.

pauldrulez 02-01-2010 10:56 AM

Nelson got a Wet Brett.

God I hope Eli throws 7 TDs tomorrow.

sLlll 02-01-2010 05:19 PM

I'd love it if we get the bye week. If this happens I can't see us fluffing our lines - a guaranteed Superbowl appearance, in my opinion.

Lets hope NY come in looking to regain some pride and Silly bench a few players :p

Great Palace win, let's hope we get Brighton at Selhurst :p:p

I don't think so; on SSN last night they had Miranda and Ellis talking about this game; I doubt they would change it.

jlmatthews 02-01-2010 06:08 PM

So the Saints lose a couple games in a row and are now benching Brees. Way to be rolling forward going into the playoffs. That's me crossing them off the list then.
