Here we go… had to start with the penalties … it’s what we do.

CT_Palace 17-01-2022 02:24 AM

Closer than it should have been after that 1st Q. Nevertheless a great win.
Having such a strong running option makes soooo much difference

Hedgehog 17-01-2022 02:27 AM

I'm getting back into this NFL malarkey!

Disclaimer: I've only been watching the 4th quarters :)

CT_Palace 17-01-2022 02:43 AM

As a 9er I’m glad I didn’t see the 4Q only!

Wilbraham413 17-01-2022 03:59 AM

Cowboys choke every year, like clockwork. I think it's been 28 years since Dallas made the NFC championship game? Niners tried to give the game away, but Dallas wanted to lose it more.

Steelers don't belong in the playoffs, this game was a joke.

Next week, Bills @ Chiefs will be good. No idea who wins that. I suspect the Bills, but you never know. Titans should beat Bengals easily.

Bucs should easily beat either the Rams or Cards. Packers should beat Niners, but Packers like to choke too, so the Niners have a chance.

I'm thinking Bills-Bucs in the Super Bowl, but I'm hoping for Titans-Bucs.

Funk Butter 17-01-2022 04:52 AM

I'm gonna give the Cowboys coaching staff the benefit of the doubt and say they've practiced running 15 yards and spiking it in 15 seconds and it worked in practice. But if you had asked me, I would say there is no way to do that. They would have been better off if Dak had lateraled to a guy on the sideline.

What makes you say that? We have one of the hottest QBs in the league with weapons all across the offense. If we can get a couple of d-line healthy then we match up well against the Titans. Even the money line is only 2.5 to the Titans despite them being at home.

CT_Palace 23-01-2022 12:32 AM

Another close game?
Bengals kick a walk off FG

greybot 23-01-2022 12:40 AM

Bit gutted about that. I'd tipped titans to make the superbowl in my WhatsApp NFL sweepstake.

Only really watched the last quarter but seemed like it was a close game.

hughff 23-01-2022 01:55 AM

Sack fest.
Meanwhile 9ers have minus 7 total yards at the end of the first quarter!

Yeah… really good start for the 9ers *facepalm*

CT_Palace 23-01-2022 02:22 AM

6 mins to go in the 2nd Q and JG completes his first pass :lux:

hughff 23-01-2022 02:34 AM

Packers special. Everyone thinks Rogers will just play out the half and its 75 yards for a chance to score.
Edit FG blocked

CT_Palace 23-01-2022 04:10 AM

GET IN THERE!!!!!

CT_Palace 23-01-2022 04:13 AM

Now I didn't mind that 4th Q.... no... I'm lying... no finger nails... non... nothing.

Wilbraham413 23-01-2022 04:17 AM

Wow, that was some terrible football. Both teams tried everything they could to lose the game. Glad the Pack lost, but the Niners are going nowhere.

Neither Jimmy G nor Rodgers will be with their teams next year.

Oi! that's harsh... only I am allowed to dis the Crappolo :D

Funk Butter 23-01-2022 04:31 AM

Well, now Rodgers has plenty of time to build up his "fully immunized" body. Maybe he can mix in some JFK assassination research.

100% accurate. The only thing I should add is that the 9ers special teams won it.

Thinking about it though, nothing would be funnier than if the 9ers beat Brady and the Bucs.

greybot 23-01-2022 10:09 AM

Great result.

I hope 49ers win the lot. Have a soft spot for them as followed them before the Jags formed.

I am having a soft spot for them and would like to see them win, i May put the curse now with backing them lol

LSEagle 23-01-2022 07:11 PM

I'd love the Bills to win it all, Buffalo has a lot to put up with between its NFL team and the appalling Sabres. Doubt they'll get past KC tonight though.

hughff 23-01-2022 08:09 PM

When assessing the 49ers' and the Bengals' progress in the play-offs, it's worth going back to their respective divisions. The NFC West and AFC North are by far the strongest divisions at present.

GB was beating up on the weak Bears and the even weaker Lions; the Cowboys were facing the combined absence-of-might that is Washington, Philly and the hapless Giants; meanwhile the Niners had to scrap for wins against the Rams and the Cards; even the Seahawks are a good team and would've possibly made the play-offs in a better division.

Same with the Bengals. The Steelers and the Browns are good teams and only injuries scuttled the Ravens. Conversely, the Titans played in a division with the Texans and the Jags FFS.

Anyway - game time.

CP-RJW 23-01-2022 09:26 PM

I'm enjoying this.

Hahahaaaaa

Oh shit

CP-RJW 23-01-2022 11:24 PM

WTF :D

LLCOOLSTEVE 23-01-2022 11:24 PM

Bucs scored too early

hughff 23-01-2022 11:27 PM

NFC West strikes again.

Dingle 23-01-2022 11:32 PM

Wow. Bonkers game

greybot 23-01-2022 11:43 PM

I said to my mate Bucs may regret not going for the first down instead of touchdown to run down the clock some more before walking it in. He said I'm crazy as there won't be enough time for Rams to get the ball down the field. Oops.

hughff 24-01-2022 12:03 AM

Meanwhile in KC, the shootout begins. Two drives - two touchdowns.

Gollum 24-01-2022 12:36 AM

Mahones has a touch of genius....

CT_Palace 24-01-2022 01:47 AM

That missed 1 pointer might prove crucial

CT_Palace 24-01-2022 02:27 AM

OMG!!

And a 2 pointer

CT_Palace 24-01-2022 02:33 AM

Mahomes and Hill: unstoppable

CT_Palace 24-01-2022 02:40 AM

Wow! Unbelievable!!

Polish Pete 24-01-2022 02:42 AM

COME ON BUFFALO!

Polish Pete 24-01-2022 02:43 AM

BILLS BILLS BILLS

CT_Palace 24-01-2022 02:48 AM

Incredible final 4 minutes

hughff 24-01-2022 02:49 AM

It's hard to care who wins now - I'll be sad for whoever goes out. What a finale.

Polish Pete 24-01-2022 02:49 AM

Typical Palace ...I mean Bills!

hughff 24-01-2022 02:50 AM

BTW, what happens if its tied at the end of OT? Another OT or are there different rules?

hughff 24-01-2022 02:52 AM

Found it. More OT but with the other team getting first possession.

Will be another shootout. They won’t be able to stop them but the Chiefs won’t be able to stop Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Boyd and Mixon.

LLCOOLSTEVE 24-01-2022 09:44 AM

Josh Allen is so good

greybot 24-01-2022 10:05 AM

Felll asleep at half time of bills chiefs. Bit gutted now having seen what I missed. Absolute madness at the end. Didn't for a second think the bucs rams final 2 minutes could be beaten. These playoffs have been great.

Caught up with the games this evening. Unreal drama. Bills really messed up smashing the kick off into the end zone. That will hurt for a while.

On a side note I was disappointed Romo decided not to circle the Bills LB during some analysis he was doing. Not that I'm immature or anything.

Schefter, Rapoport and Edelman saying so.

CP-RJW 29-01-2022 07:55 PM

Only been following the NFL for about 6 years. Those who've been into it for decades, putting allegiances and biases to the side, do any of you believe that Brady is not the 'GOAT' QB?

Snikt5 29-01-2022 08:00 PM

Nope, he is the Goat. Legend

Tripod 10 29-01-2022 08:06 PM

If true, good luck to him in the future. Definitely the greatest QB ever.
Can't stand him but no one else seems to come close.
This from a sore Cowboys fan.

CP-RJW 29-01-2022 08:11 PM

I wonder if he knew this would be his final season before it started. If so, then respect for announcing it in this way, and not turning the league into a sycophantic Brady retirement tour.

GB2506 29-01-2022 08:13 PM

The best to ever play the game in his position, arguably any position. Not even a debate.

As a Pats fan and getting to see him numerous times live both in the U.K. and US I feel honoured to do so.

The GOAT, simple as that

Latvian Eagle 29-01-2022 08:38 PM

Certainly the best in the 15 years I have followed the NFL.

And considering where he was drafted, yes the best ever.

MrBling 29-01-2022 09:03 PM

Huge Cowboys fan since 1984 and I don't see how anyone can argue he isn't the G.O.A.T. For me, in terms of excitement and Super bowl rings, Montana is up there but Brady is so far in front he's unlikely to ever be bettered.

hughff 29-01-2022 09:39 PM

The GOAT? Yep.
A dirty cheat? Yep.
He's the Roy Keane of the gridiron.

Dingle 29-01-2022 09:55 PM

Can't argue with what he's achieved in the game. Will probably never be matched again

LLCOOLSTEVE 29-01-2022 09:57 PM

Although his dad is now saying no decision has been made

Mahomes is superb and easily the best of the new bunch but I just think there are likely to be others just as good which means he may not get to win as many Superbowls

Yeah that's fair enough.

The standard of quarterbacks has definitely gone up in the last few years but were KC to win the superbowl this year he'd still have another 20 years to get another 6 to surpass him.

GOAT. No question.

Spindle 29-01-2022 11:12 PM

Interesting though that thanks to QB1 series some QBs can be followed. Justin Fields struggling to adjust at the Bears and will be interesting to see if Jake Fromm can get some traction now he's at the Giants

Montyburns76 30-01-2022 04:56 PM

hughff 30-01-2022 09:14 PM

Bengals show some fight

hughff 30-01-2022 09:23 PM

Patrick Mahomes' stat line for first half
21 passes
18 completions
220 yards
3 touchdowns

Stinger1 30-01-2022 10:20 PM

Wow, incredible 4th quarter coming up.

hughff 30-01-2022 10:46 PM

Bengals lead. It's all on now
Mahomes is so Jekyll and Hyde

hughff 30-01-2022 11:05 PM

SO now it's down to a coin toss again - winning the toss increases your hcance of winning the game by nearly 20%. It's a stupid way to decide a game.

Montyburns76 30-01-2022 11:19 PM

CP-RJW 30-01-2022 11:23 PM

Jesus Christ. I stopped watching or paying any attention after the 3rd KC touchdown

Dingle 30-01-2022 11:25 PM

I've developed a bit of a soft spot for the Bengals over the past season so pretty chuffed with that result. Some of the QB talent that is coming through in the NFL at the moment is incredible and Burrow will be right up there in and amongst the best for years to come. What a talent
