The Defensive/Offensive Linemen could last in a scrum. They weigh a lot and are agile and quick.

The faster guys in the NFL could fit straight into the Backs in a Rugby Team.

NFL,
College Football,

then a big gap to anything else.

And to prove the popularity of the sport, there are 50+ University American Football teams which amounts to well over 2500 students playing the sport in Unis in the UK.

Plus there are 80+ other teams and youth academies playing it.

There are more people playing this at a grassroots level then there are Rugby League.

ok the European Grid Iron League or whatever you called it, probably made up of a load of failed NFL players who had abused steroids too much and had no where else to go
