Patriots select 2 D-Linemen. Wonder if they are DE/OLB guys or big 3-4DE. Was probably the one hole we didn't fill.

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 09:59 PM

Alabama and Georgia Linemen,

Well, could be from worse schools I guess :D

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:03 PM

And Zac Robinson, QB.

Like that pick. Can work out in TC and compete against Hoyer for backup.

Have really enjoyed the past 250 picks.

Been great to spend the time on here with various people (mostly Eagles fans and Jaz), but great to see other people's opinions.

OK so, haven't been on here for a while! Been watching the draft, particularly today on the NFL website and watched some of the videos from day 1. seems interesting, won't pretend I know too much about it all and will wait and see how they do in their new jerseys!

See we just drafted a QB, another late draft like Brady who turns out to be a star? probably not but who knows!

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:04 PM

Jevan Snead.

Should have stayed in School, boy.

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:08 PM

Last 3 teams to pick are also the first 3 teams to pick. Weird symmetry.

Mr. Irrelevant in 3 picks time.

jazman 24-04-2010 10:12 PM

Thanks for the honourable mention PD :p

SteveyHawking 24-04-2010 10:15 PM

And Mr. Irrelevant is Tim Toone WR! Draft done and dusted!

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:16 PM

I've got a lot of sleep to catch up on.

But, I do have 255 picks to sort through now :D

Swanny32 24-04-2010 10:19 PM

Until next year! That was fun.

Great name! :D

Why no OL :(

Against the Cowboys we had two major problems, stopping the run and protecting McNabb so he could throw it deep. It sees we've addressed the defensive problem but done nothing about the offensive one.

I just can't see how we will be successful this year if our OL isn't going to be able to help develop a run game and protect Kolb against the better defensive sides, which we are playing a lot of this year.

I'd take 8-8 next season with so many unknowns, even 7-9 :(

pauldrulez 24-04-2010 10:34 PM

Patriots make their first move of the after-draft.

Pick up Gerald Warren, DE. Ex first rounder and fills the void.

And you guessed it, he's from FLORIDA :D (Not under Urban Meyer, but who cares lol)

Im sure we'll address it with Free Agents and trades

There will be a draft though. In all likeliness, there will be a rookie cap in place as they almost got it in place for this year.

There are some real stud receivers next year.

This might sound silly but surely next year: no football = no CBA in place = no rookie cap?

What happens to all the players that don't get drafted? Or is that a stupid question.

jazman 24-04-2010 11:21 PM

Interesting to read about all the undrafted players and the scramble that is the teams now out trying to get who they can ...

They'll be picked up in the next few days and run into the ground like hell to see if they are up to much :D

Plenty of good names went undrafted - Kurt Warner I think is one.

Quite a list:
