I class myself as a Buckeyes fan due to my cousins going to OSU, I follow their results on their website but have only ever watched them a few times. I really want to get into it a bit more but the wife will never in a million years allow me to get ESPN, unless I cancel movies......hmmmm

I'm the same.

It seems like alot of additional money on the surface, but I actually think its great value the amount I watch it. I'm a huge NHL fan, so I got it primarily for that, but now it carries Premier League games, and still shows plenty of college football, and is due to show MNF, I'm going to get even more value out of it.

Just thought I'd pop this on here.

This is a good friend of mine in the black!

NSFW if you have sound on (someone swears in reaction to the hit).

I bet that left a mark! Ouch. Hope he was ok?

Ochocinco at his best, brilliant!

The first interview to cross the NFL news desk on Friday was Chad Ochocinco’s appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, and as you’d expect, he didn’t disappoint.

There was a lot of hoops talk (see LeBron James), but Ochocinco did make two bold predictions. When asked if he would get a Super Bowl ring or a wedding ring first (he was on with Patrick promoting his VH-1 dating show), Ochocinco said he’d get two rings this year.

“A Super Bowl ring. I believe that Super Bowl ring will be this year,” Ochocinco responded.

He then had a smooth segue into how he would get the second ring.

“I just talked to Pat Riley,” Ochocinco announced. “When I see the ends, I’ll be coming off the bench for the Heat. I can average 10 points per game. I might be the first player to get two rings in one year.”

Never bashful, but almost always entertaining, Ochocinco interrupted Patrick trying to end the interview with another take.

“I got one more thing,” Ochocinco said. ”Shouldn’t the people of Ohio not feel that bad that LeBron is gone, when you have me to watch every Sunday?”

A strong finish. But that wasn’t all Ochocinco had to offer. You can check out the full interview on the show’s website.

Does anyone know of a NFL Management game for the PC? Something similar to FM I guess. If you know a place I can download it then that would be good as well.

y2rich 13-07-2010 03:57 PM

there's NFL Head Coach but that was crap. Couple of decent Trophy Manager style ones though.

Swanny32 13-07-2010 05:39 PM

I bought TM to the masses on the C&G forum, got a bit bored of it though. Was hoping for something that depicted real life NFL with real players, coaches, stadiums etc

Surely there is another one out there other than Head Coach? What made it crap?

y2rich 13-07-2010 05:47 PM

NFL licence went to EA so they're the only ones who can make one. Head Coach was crap because it was slow, buggy and just not any fun. There was a newer one released on PS3 for the anniversary which was a lot better but that was a US release only.

Theres Quick Hit Football which now has the NFL licence but dunno whats happening with it as haven't played it for about 3 months.

pauldrulez 13-07-2010 06:03 PM

Head Coach was shocking.

Swanny32 13-07-2010 06:15 PM

I guess I'll just have to give it a miss then!

pauldrulez 13-07-2010 07:03 PM

I would.

Due to my boredom, i've decided to do some Top 5 lists.

QB: Brees, Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Rivers - All interchangeable. No set top 5

RB: Johnson, Peterson, Rice, Jones-Drew, Steven Jackson

WR: Andre Johnson, Fitz, Moss, Calvin Johnson, Marshall.

TE: Gates, Clark, Davis, Witten, Finley.

Top 10 Defensive players: Ware, Willis, Revis, Reed, Polamalu, Allen, Freeney, Ray Lewis, Asomugha, Kevin Williams.

The D players is hard. Players like Jay Ratliff, Samuel, Peppers, Wilfork, Mario Williams all have cases to be in there as well as a lot of others. Real tough list there.

I don't think i've been fair in a way. I've gone with some more experienced guys over the younger ones. Players like DJax are close to breaking through.

Swanny32 13-07-2010 08:50 PM

DJax might make that top 5 on talent but in Fantasy terms he can't be a top 5 WR because of our new QB, same goes for Celek.

I had a bash on Madden 10 last night before turning in for the night and got myself all excited for the new season and our trip to Philly. The off season is far to bloody long for my liking!

pauldrulez 13-07-2010 08:54 PM

This wasn't fantasy this time :p

Got the idea from watching Total Access.

I've read your list, and re-read it a few times, but something must be wrong, because I just can't find any Panthers in there.

pauldrulez 13-07-2010 11:09 PM

Well, Steve Smith said he'd like to be a Number 2 WR from now on.

But, he's a guy i'd have on my team like a shot. Probably No. 6 or 7 on my list. ;)

DeAngelo is top 10. Stewart just behind.
