Errr, yes TO. Did you play last season? ;) ... but don't you think that at his age his past is biting him in the ass? I mean some teams would jump at the chance of a player of his calibre even at his age but the baggage just isn't worth it ...

To add to his 'chagrin', there was some footage on TV here the other day at some street basketball game. He made the big mistake of standing under the rim, and some guy dunked an alley-oop right on his head.

Shit Swanny - only just saw your posts. I probably could've got you Jets tickets from a mate in NY.

Sorry.

Remember for future though. :D

Also, for anyone interested - I'm a "member" (actualy, on ST waiting list but gives me member privileges) at Denver and have early access to single game tickets so anyone want any, let me know, too :)

Swanny32 15-07-2010 04:00 PM

Sax! Dude! It probably would have been different for the season opener which tickets seem to be quite sought after.

What the hell is wrong with Big Ben??? He really is pushing his luck ...

pauldrulez 16-07-2010 01:56 PM

Big Ben is a dick.

As for TO and him wanting to come to New England.

Bring him in. If it means putting Welker on PUP and allowing him 6 extra weeks to recover, i'm for it.

If he's a jackass in them 6 weeks, cut his ass.

If he plays lights out for those 6 weeks, then I keep him and cut Holt or place one of the younger guys on IR to make room for Wes.

If he behaves himself, he'd be 1 on 1 with the number 2 or 3 CB as Moss still draws double coverage and Welker/Holt/Edelman will be 1 on 1 out of the slot. Working in our young WRs (Tate and Price) as well as our new rookie TE's who i'm in love with, we'd have a strong receiving corps. I think we have without TO anyway.

Aaron Hernandez - the next Dallas Clark.
Brandon Tate - the next Percy Harvin.
Rob Gronkowski - the next Antonio Gates.
Taylor Price - DJax mk 2.

:lux:

First positive Patriots post since we beat the Jags in Dec (draft excepted)

Definitely.

On a side-note, watching Total Access that I taped this morning.

Jets 4th best team in Football? What?

They got rid of Thomas Jones who was still running hard for them last year and a very good player still. And replaced him with LaFailian.

Sanchez proved very little last year. Until he proves that he is a capable QB, they're barely a top 10 team.

Add to that, there are 3 pissed off players without contracts and they paid D'Bust ahead of them and it's ridiculous.

2444 pass yards. 12 TD, 20 INT. Mark Sanchez.

If the Colts and Bungals hadn't rolled over, they wouldn't have made the play-offs.

Jets will finish 3rd in the AFC East this year. Teams now know what to expect from this defense.

Swanny32 17-07-2010 11:52 AM

But you can only go on what you know and what happened in the previous season, in which case they are a top 4 side.

pauldrulez 17-07-2010 12:09 PM

Well that makes the rankings pointless if we're going by last year.

Cowboys 5
Pack 6
Ravens 7

could argue all 3 are better than the Jesters

jazman 17-07-2010 10:22 PM

I kind of agree that Jets are a good team ahead of the new season. I think we have improved but the problem is that our schedule is tough so don't know how that will pan out at all or where that puts us in all honesty. I like the Ravens and what they have done, only become stronger ...

pauldrulez 17-07-2010 10:25 PM

Exactly.

The Jets have got worse.

The Ravens and Cowboys have got better.

The Pack have tried to fix their one weakness.

Hernandez is bigger and more powerful than Clark. Will be a much better blocker. Receiving wise? Let's wait and see. Potential is there to be a very useful component there though.

Don't think Tate will be anywhere near as good as Harvin myself.

One thing about Hernandez and Tate is that they can both get their weed off Kevin Faulk at the same time ;)

Dunno if this has been mentioned already, but just been listening to the new episode/show or RnR and they mentioned that London MIGHT get a superbowl...Now that would be awesome but some how I can't see it happening.

Bellyman 22-07-2010 08:52 AM

Also they were talking to Rivers and ask if he would be passing more in the upcoming season. His response was the ball needs to be passed down the field and we would have to do that by using a play action...to me that isn't the smartest thing to say!

saxoneagle 22-07-2010 02:12 PM

Even as a Londoner NFL fan, there is NO WAY that London should be awarded a Superbowl.

It is an American sport played by American teams and the ultimate match should be in America, not England.

Bellyman 22-07-2010 02:14 PM

I agree with you there Sax, IF they did bring it over i bet the yanks would be really pissed about it!

Plus if it was in London I would end up spending a fortune to go see it!

Bellyman 22-07-2010 02:14 PM

It's kinda like taking the FA cup final (or what ever) over there!

Pro Bowl I could understand.

Superbowl, nah.

We'd piss off far too many people.

It'd be expensive.

How would 25000 fans from each team get over here to watch it?
